The Roasted Hen

The Roasted Hen, laying just across the street from Jacun's Alchemy shop welcomes its patrons warmly with a brightly colored wooden sign depicting a fluffy buff hen nestled into cut vegetables, curls of steam wafting around her happy as can be. Inside the Roasted Hen one will find an equally cozy atmosphere. A counter just to the left of the entrance is where one can rent a room for a night or longer, stairs just next to it leading up to the living accommodations. A small bar area with a few tables mostly meant for feeding guests for breakfast or someone just wanting a drink lies in the entryway. Beyond two large swinging doors lies the restaurant proper a close ceilinged room stuffed with intimate booths around its walls and tables for seating larger parties in the center of the room. A small stage takes up one corner of the room for the occasional performer. Known for its cleanliness and hearty filling food the restaurant is usually some level of full at all points in the day after they open around lunch.

Ozias Tildwen

Ozias Tildwen is a a very typical Orkhan specimen. Large and imposing with ashy skin and ebony hair, if one was unfamiliar with his frequent appearance behind the bar at his establishment they might be intimidated. Ozias, however, is a lover of drink, food, and socialization. If he isn't tending bar or sitting with friends in the restaurant proper, he is often first to greet guests in the Hen. When able to he will generally check in on guests at their meals, and loves to hear the stories of new traveler's to the Hen. While mixing drinks is his specialty, Ozias is no slouch when it comes to cooking in his kitchens, and if one spends enough time at the Hen they will realize he will do any job at any time, from cleaning rooms to throwing drunkards to the curb. Patrons and employees are agreed that Ozias's attitude and demeanor is a large part of why the Hen is so frequented.

Roasted Hen Menu

For an additional 1gp per night of stay guests at the Roasted Hen are offered a breakfast of eggs, meat usually sausage or corned beef hash, with freshly baked bread and butter.

The Board - A large wooden tray meant to be shared at the table of meats, cheeses, and whatever fruit is seasonal/ readily available at market

Beef Brisket
Beef Stew
Bleating Red - Lamb shanks in red wine sauce over a bed of mashed potatoes and additional seasonal vegetable
Chili
Cold Preventing Soup - A delicious broth filled with chunks of pork, green onions, turnips, and parsley
Hangover Cure: A deliciously greasy array of thickly cut roast beef set inside a split loaf of generously buttered bread covered in melted cheese and topped with pickled onions. Pickled eggs or radishes available as a side upon request
Roasted Fish of the Day - Served over a bed of rice with seasonal roasted vegetable
Seafood Stew of the Day - Just as the name implies, generally filled with whatever the easiest or cheapest fish is selling for at port, but is occasionally filled with more precious bites
The Hen - A succulent roasted chicken with a honey glaze nestled in a bed of vegetables seasoned with savory spices
