It had been some time since Talon had made is offer. Galius had accepted and began to set up within the space provided for him. Though most of his tools weren't that of a master craftsmen they made due. It was cheaper to repair them if they broke and eventually, once the Ork believed his skills were relevant, he would get a better set. But for now they would make due. The faint sound of metal pushing against metal. The burin slowly working with the Orkhans hand. Carving and moving metal against the copper ring that was being held in place.

Flakes and shavings of copper laid on the little wooden box underneath the ring. Making it easier for him to clean up once the work is done. The ring was not part of an order. It was something that had come to him in a dream. A simple item that he wanted to possibly learn how to infuse and enchant. He would have to ask Talon but it was worth it regardless. Even if he couldn't enchant it, it could be enchanted and sold. The design wasn't super fancy. It wasn't meant to be. A small circle in the center with lines waving away from it. They would reach around and connect to another circle on the back side of the ring. His plan was to enchant it to produce an amount of light. Nothing blinding but enough that one would not need a torch or lamp if they decided to take a walk at night.

If it all went to plan then it would be simple to activate. In the sense that it would activate when worn and rely dormant when not. Theories, at this point, as Galius didn't know the finer details of runeforging and the like. But he had seen Talon create some interesting items so the Orkhan decided that it should be simple enough to do. Finishing the finer detailing of the circle, a sigh escaped his lips as he set down his burin.

It was simple work but yet, he found himself unmotivated. Sitting at the work station resting head in hand. Unsure if it was boredom or lack of interest. Though he had been feeling rather mundane in his work. Thing were simple and though he was still learning. It felt as though he was stuck in the mud. That very he was making very little progress in his venture. And though moving into the shop had help with making it easier for him to progress. It didn't solve all his problems. Slowly spinning the copper ring he had been working on under finger. "Simpliciy elicits the mundane." He grumbled under his breath. Letting the ring fall upon the table once more. He pushed away and rose to his feet. Stepping away from his work station and back to the main floor of the workshop. Maybe a walk outside would do him some good. They often said that fresh air is good for the soul.

N N E R K A
The spider was a curious thing.

A creature that flitted in her space like all the others, but was certainly worth more than anything else. She watched it scuttle over her fingers as she walked to through the market. If this were any usual sort of venture to buy something, she would stop at the stalls. But her feet carried her beyond the rickety wooden shacks and draped cloths. To where the places of brick and stone stood. The tiny container of spider silk in her purse didn’t quite feel like it would burn through, but the knowledge of it might as well have.

How long had she been storing the silk? Perhaps several seasons, but there’d been quite the accumulation. She’d only taken a small portion from the creature’s webbing while cleaning her own, the strands curling around one another. Practically melting into one. An interesting process to behold, really. Several of her eyes kept a watch for the forge she’d been informed about from a client. A boastful ork that seemed more interested in comparing hunting trophies than anything else. Which, she had not minded, but she couldn’t exactly share hers. Too much of the history of it would have made the ork pale. If that were possible.

Her eyes turned up as she reached her destination, an air of excitement about her. She hadn’t much thought of what the thread could be used for — but the shard. Its clink was silenced by the threads wrapped around it in the tiny bottle. Borrowed, and maybe returned later. Stepping over the threshold, she looked around the interior, brows raised.
She would certainly give her approval on the layout of wares. Mannequins sporting both armor and jewelry; a fine showcase of skill. Tasteful, to boot. Her eyes lingered on the jewels, some interest in them. But — she had something mind already. Somethings, maybe.

The fae spotted someone who must have worked there, a small smile on her lips as she approached. “Who do I speak to get something made?”

The main floor was lined with his 'partners' work. The quality always outstanding. It was almost disheartening to see such magnificent work when he was suffering with a block. However, the progress that was made in the shop below. The work the man who owned the forge put in was inspiring. Galius had pictured him as a hard worker. But the dedication had sent a spark through him. The Ork was about to make his way out the door when someone stepped in. Turning his eyes towards the woman, Galius looked her over. She was attractive with an alluring aura around her. Galius wouldn't have pictured her as a fighter but he had though a similar thing about someone once before. Only to be proven wrong. He cleared his throat before speaking up. "It would depend on what you would like made."

Waving his hand across the floor. "If you are looking for a weapon, or armor. Then I can take your order and the main proprietor will be able to tell you the costs upon his return." Turning back to face her. "If you decide that you'd rather have something already made, then we can take care of that right now." Studying her again.

"I am not a blacksmith or weapon forger. I handle the finer things." Motioning towards the jewelry on display. "If that is what you are more inclined to" Everything that was displayed was simpler in design then that of a master jeweler. But they served their purpose. Enchantments made easy to carry and hide if one needed. Sometimes simple was better. Depending on the work. "My name is Galius, the Seventh son. I am the Jeweler of this forge." Giving a slight bow before standing up straight with a friendly smile. "How may I be of service?"

The man before her was orkhan, and somehow stood two feet below her. She had to take a step back to get a good look at him as she approached. She knew it was common for most to be taller than her, but was it really that common among the races? Whatever; she wouldn’t dwell on it past the need to arrange her stance in a way that she could still see him if she came close. He expressed a need for specification on what she wanted, and what her options were.

Her mind had been made up since before she’d stepped foot into the store, but there was always room to be swayed. But, no. He claimed himself no weaponsmith. Her eyes followed his hands to the display of jewelry, interest piqued. She looked over what had been offered to her, considered the possibility of adding a new piece of glittering finery to her collection. But — that was not why she was here.

Tearing her gaze away from the display, she looked down at Galius. “Galius, the Seventh Son.” She echoed the words with interest, rolled them over her tongue. Thus far, he showed a fair amount of professionalism. It made sense that he would be one of the specialists within the store. Or very good at posturing as though he were one. The jewelry in the case could very well have been crafted by someone else But a place of such refute wouldn’t allow someone inside that might think of conning customers. Would they? City-dwelling creatures were their own strange breed.

“Well, Galius, I don’t suppose you would be...displeased with the idea of working something like this into a simple ring design.” Simple, to test him. She couldn’t very well waste all of the precious silk and dragonshard her little pet had given her. She produced the little vial of silk and shard, clasped between two claws as her lower set of arms crossed under her chest. “Nothing too flashy, of course. A statement, but not a gaudy one, if you will.”

The request brought before him caused the Orkhan to pause for a second. Studying the vial clasped in her claws. A ring that made a statement mixed with silk and shard. Pondering as his fingers brushed against his chin. He had yet to be propositioned into making someone a requested ring. Most of his wares were sold in the store front, like he had shown, and went about their day. "Did you have something in mind?" he asked looking up from the clasped claws for just a moment. Before returning to the vial once more. The wheels in his mind turning as he thought of idea after idea. Waiting a few moments before speaking again, "Did you want the shard embedded or were you looking for something with a more prong setting?" Turning on his heels as he walked behind one of the jewelry displays. Sliding the door open to reach inside the displays. He grabbed two separate rings. Pulling them both out to set them down on the counter.

One ring had a small opal stone in it. The metal wrapped around the stone as if it was, almost, naturally found that way. "Embedding it would take a slightly longer time. As I have to form whatever material is used as the body around the stone or piece itself. To make sure that it fits tightly and won't be disturbed by accidental, or intentional, impact." Lifting the ring from it's resting point. It was fairly simple. The copper band had a small ribbon like pattern reaching around it's entirety. He held it forward so she could inspect it more if she so desired before he reached for the other ring. This band was slightly more traditional. The silver band had four points that came up and grasped the opal stone that rest within. There wasn't an engraved design on this one. Instead most of the appeal came from the stone itself. Being held in a square rest, the stone flashed it's rainbow like pattern when light hit it. "This is your more traditional prong style. Of course it doesn't have to be plain, I can engrave the ring if you so desire." He mimicked the motion he did with the previous ring. Holding it up so she could inspect it if she wished.

Once she had returned both rings. He would secure them back in the display. Making sure that they rested in the right spot for anyone else to see. He cleared his throat, walking around once more to stand in front of her. Putting on the most charming smile that he could. As he looked up at her. Fairly unintimidated by the height difference. More so interested in it. As if his natural calling and the home for which he was raised in was having some sort of affect on him. There were many beautiful, but dangerous creatures that lurked in his ancestral home. Perhaps he had found one here in the city.

Either way the thought was pushed from his mind. "And might I ask, is the silk in there for protection or were you interested in having it incorporated into the ring as well?"

She must have looked confused by his question, because he was gracious enough to explain the difference. As a spiderling, she had seen jewelry only at a distance and as a nuisance to remove from corpses when it came time to cook them. The fae had not then taken the time to distinguish design and type the way she could now, when hunting for a different sort of prey. Nnerka listened, all eyes trained on the orc as he explained the differences. Even handed her some examples of his wares to further examine.

As she handed them back and he’d finished speaking, she sighed. She hadn’t thought much of the particulars. But that was merely the ignorance of what went into jewelry making. “I think I’ll have it embedded.” Galius had said it would take longer, but she could patient. She’d learned as much as a child on hunts. That was what made a good predator, after all.

“Would it be difficult to incorporate into the ring? I had hoped that it would be part of it.” A pause. “The silk is very special, you see.” Her Common was beginning to fail her. The conversation was steering into words that were...more specialized than she was used to using. Her brows furrowed a moment. Letting loose a soft chittering, the tiny spider hiding within her hair came forth.

“This little one made it, but she is also special. Mm, I know not the words one would use in Common for it, but — magic? The silk is much the same.” She shrugged, running a finger along the creature’s back. “That would surely change the way it could be used, yes? Spider silk is already quite strong.” There was an air of pride to her accented words, a musical giggle to follow it up.

"A good choice. Embedded means the shard will be safer. Less likely to come lose." He nodded before rotating on his heels once more. Walking back towards the work floor. Motioning for her to follow as he went. He listened to her tale and request for the silk. His mind already dancing with ideas. Stopping just at the doorway he turned back around to face her. Watching her lips move as she spoke before his eyes caught the small blur of motion on her shoulder. The chittering seemed to have called it forward and that just enticed the Ork's curiosity. Amber hued eyes studied the small creature as much as he could from a distance.

"It's magic you say? From this tiny one?" Speaking slower in hopes that he wouldn't invoke any disrespect. At first his plan was to just surround the ring in a small layer of a resin. It had been something he had been curious about but had never tried himself. Though it might be better to not experiment with a clients request. Unless they are requesting it. He pondered to himself for a moment. "If it is indeed magic then I can most likely do something with it." pausing as it to let the thoughts settle.

The silence continued from the Ork. The clear look of thoughts being pondered on his face. "It would be something that I haven't done before. I am unfortunately not the enchanter of this forge." A look of slight disappointment on his face. "However, I may be able to make the vessel for which is then enchanted. I believe that the owner of this forge. One Talon, would be able to use the magic of this silk to create more of what you seek." Turning again he descended into the workshop. Allowing her to follow if she wished.

He walked over to his station. Carefully clearing before grabbing the closest paper and writing utensil. He began to hastily draw out a simple ring shape. Scribbling random notes here and there. "Do you want the silk to be visible?"

As much as she rather liked jewelry, Nnerka did not know much of the process that went into it. Which was why she could only nod in feigned understanding as Galius spoke. Her gaze drifted to the wares on display once more. Her little spider chittered on her shoulder, pleased to be acknowledged before scurrying back to the crook of her neck.

“Talon?” Maybe she perked up at the name. The spider had heard the name before. In passing, not really in too much detail. There was quite a lot being said about this Talon, especially after the last season. What had happened then, was mostly dispersed and vague, as if speaking it would call the authorities down on them. A curious thing, the way information traveled among the people of cities. “What’s a prince doing running a business and not his fair...whatever this is?”

She trailed after him as he descended to his workshop, curious to see what the space looked like. She watched him put away what was at his station, before looking to the others as he retrieved paper and writing implements. “Is it just you and Talon you take on most of the work? How does this whole process...process?” While she was curious, she wasn’t curious. Not in any dire way.

She rested leaned against the bench, head tipped to the side as she considered his question. “What would you recommend? I think I trust your expertise on the matter, and I could always order another, right?” Another moment of wandering eyes. “How long have you been in this trade?”

Nnerka could not see herself taking up anything aside from hunting for very long, but then again — her current employment had been one she held for some time. Perhaps it was a matter of what he’d wished to pursue.
