"I do not call that place home. If you live above then I will find you." Yshvold says with a calm confidence as cuts the man off and squeezes past the small entrance tunnel.
As much as he wanted to go back with them, he needed to get home soon. His guardian promised he could stay indoors this time and didn't want to pass up the opportunity to be in their presence again, and away from the guards that patrolled the streets at night.
He quickly slipped past and ran ahead of them through the dark tunnel as the two followed behind. He knew how to get back safely and judging by the skills they displayed before the others would be just fine, so he wouldn't have to worry about them getting above without being eaten.
Truly it was another frustrating day though. Once again his target was just out of reach and he had nothing to show for it besides information, that others wouldn't listen to if given from him. At least now he had a point of reference on what else would get in his way, and a method to dispatch it.
The tunnel is just as dark as before, with only that babbling brook of watery sludge echoing off the walls to guide them around without a torch. His little footsteps were easily heard at first and then suddenly they became inaudible. As far as the pipe led he should still be in, but there's no denying that he either stopped running or was snatched.
"Next time will be different. Be better prepared because we are not stopping." Yshvold's voice echoes around them. His words flow as a calm river setting upon a bubbling bed of anger, ready to burst forth. There will not be a third failed attempt.
