The Upper Waterworks
While the Waterways all interconnect with one another as the underbelly of the city, the rest of the filtration systems go way deeper into the underside of the Midden. These passageways are much larger than the rest, and span so far and wide that they actually go deep enough to connect into the Midden. Suffice it to say great and terrible danger lurks within these parts, for the Upper Waterworks is a labyrinth riddled with more than just rats and slimes. Creatures that thrive in the channels make their home in this part of the Midden, and they're well known for their territorial aggression when spotted.
As the Upper Waterworks connect the Midden to deeper recesses of the Warrens, many who venture down here find navigation to be quite a challenge. For there are no maps of the Upper Waterworks, save for what few scribbles have been made of the entrances that lead to it. Almost everyone who has come down here has experienced horrifying tales to relay, of the creatures that actively seek to hunt them, and the chilling tales of noises that echo throughout the halls of these desolate sewer channels. It's not difficult to find the entrances to the Upper Waterworks, of course, the most popular one being Channel #10, it is however the venture back that becomes ever more challenging; particularly when one goes a little too deep within.
