Roam With You
Destyn wrinkled his nose.
"It would be strange, I think, to be around other Fae. We are all so different and I am, I think, stranger than most. My clan were, you know, Old Order Fae. We are more of the Everwilds than most of my kind on Ransera. Strangers to your world. That is, I suspect, why people look at me funny when I do certain things. Because I do not know how to be in a city or to do things that most people find normal..." He considered, "Like having my own room." He offered what he believed to be a particularly pertinent example.
"But whatever the case, I am, for some reason, not eager to seek out other Fae. My clan were my people, not my race. Many are as strange to me as dragons or pangolins." He seemed lost in thought for a moment, but his eyes snapped back to Torin at the mention of his apprentice.
"Someone else who bounces?! Lead the way!" Destyn beamed, bouncing on the balls of his feet as his shirt tightened with the movement of his wings beneath. He followed Torin down and out, finding himself nervous to make another acquaintance, even if he knew it was child.
"Hi!" The Fae grasped his hand and shook it once, "I am Destynrael or just Destyn." He tilted his head and looked quizzically upon the young human as he withdrew his hand slowly, as if sudden motion might scare the child off like some frightened fawn.
"I have a room here now for some reason, but you can visit me in it whenever. I do not usually like to be alone, and if I do I have wings so I just fly away to somewhere where people... aren't."
