It had been those travels that put them in the danger that ended the entire clan. "But our traditions were much, much older than I. I did not even understand them all, but we thought there would be much more time for me to learn..." He trailed off, smiling a bit at the gentle touch from the handsome man to his shoulder.
"I, too, am a peasant. You do not need to apologise for this." Destyn said, consolingly.
"Thank you for teaching to me your song." He said with an earnest smile. "It is very beautiful and the sentiments are, I think, important." Listening to Pahoran further elaborate upon the themes of the song and how they applied to the present day, the Fae frowned.
"That is very frightening..." He conceded, "But I would put my life on the line for these things. My life, right now, has little meaning. I do not intend to sound pitiable, but... With no clan to serve I have only my friends. I think I make them happy sometimes, but this is not, um... salient work. It is nice, but not important to the world. If you need the help of one such as me for your effort to save Him, I would gladly join."
