Kay paid close attention to the two in front of her after sharing snippets of her life, not being too sharp with her gaze when she'd switch between each of the two men before her. From what she could tell it sounded like Destyn had quite the altercation when it happened, and for worse, left as the only survivor out of his entire family. Her heart cried out for him at that moment, garnering a look of sympathy when she listened to the other half of his story.

Admittedly his inquiry on the concept of living slightly amused her, but, Kayleigh couldn't help but notice how sharp Avamande really seemed to be. And not just intellectually. He was unafraid, to be frank and upfront with something, a behavior that riveted her thoughts when she observed the stoutness in his shoulders. Avamande already sounded smart to her but in a way, he lacked the social capacity to fully empathize with his peers, at least not without comprehending their reasoning and logistics beforehand.

She'd never really met anybody who displayed those traits with their social graces, then again she also never really worried about socializing much, not when it came to her mother and the tea parties she always demanded Kayleigh to attend. "It's a matter of expression honestly," she weighed in return to Destyn's inquiry, "In societies to earn a living is to essentially earn wages, and to afford whatever lifestyle one can live off of with those wages."

Kayleigh hoped she didn't sound like a complete know-it-all, as truth be told, she hardly knew anything about the world to begin with. She had so much to figure out, especially on her own it felt like, yet she wouldn't let such a challenge intimidate her so easily. The praise she did earn from Avamande did help to reinforce that confidence, as she prided herself on learning more than anything else really. But what the Hytori had to say really did intrigue her...

If he knew or discovered something about the ship she hadn't yet, then surely that information would help Kayleigh in the long run. Needless to say she wasn't going to demand it out of him, but a gentle prod was far from harmless as she tilted her head when asking the question. "I agree, I would like to know what your thoughts on this are as well!" She remarked with a gentle smile on her face.
