☵ He could see the internal wheels turning in the young prince's head. He could see the validity of his words. Kotoru was relieved in that realization....at least he hoped that's what was being worked out in his mind. He wouldn't know how to explain to his parents about the plan and not being able to persuade the royal prince from such a dangerous idea.

As he proposed before their best bet in finding and killing this bastard would be in allowing them to kill again. It was a grim truth, but a truth nonetheless, and one the Prince was starting to understand that. There wasn't enough evidence to go and apprehend someone.

He himself would be on the lookout from now on, stalking this new quarry of his until they had enough to trap or kill this malicious beast. In any case, he wasnt sure how this was going to go, so he would have to consult his father on how to survey the city the best way in order to cover the most ground.

When the prince suggested they go and ask around the Guard station, Kotoru nodded. Nothing better could be done at this moment, and it wouldn't hurt to see if maybe, just maybe there would still be some semblance of clues that could have been left behind.

The next question that came shocked the young viper. The prince asked if he wanted to fly to the garrison, which made him fumble over his own words. He wasn't sure how to respond to that request. Should he accept that off, what would people say? Even though he didnt care less what others would have thought, it was more so his family name he was worried about besmirching.

If he was an orphan, he wouldn't care in the least but was very cautious of how his family was perceived. With a sigh he nodded in agreement, knowing the walk there would take much longer. ☵

Talon only waited a moment before stepping up close to Kotoru. He extended his wings and reached out wrapping an arm around the young nobleman’s waist. He brought Kotoru close and turned so that they were both facing in the direction of the garrison.

“Hold on tightly. You won’t hurt me. It’s also easier to keep us both aloft if you stay close.” Talon smiled, oblivious to the dilemma he’d caused the Hattori son. When Kotoru was as close as reasonably possible, Talon flexed his wings, bent his knees and then leapt into the air. Even with Kotoru’s added weight, Talon took off without too much effort. He breathed in deeply the crisp air of the mountain and felt a burden lift off of his shoulders. It was always this way when he was flying. The feel of the cool air running over him and caressing the feathers of his wings along with the joy of soaring through Kalzasi’s skies, it brought him clarity and peace.

“Once we’re at the garrison, we can split up and do more thorough research. We should question the watch captains, see if there might be any more leads to follow.” Talon wasn’t sure what there was to find at the garrison but if there was someone with a grudge against the victim, at least they might be able to discern something. Talon kept his arms securely wrapped around Kotoru as the two of them made their way through the skies. He paid no attention to some of the people who pointed and gawked at the two of them. He had a suspicion that such people were not native to the city as the sight of Avialae flying was a common thing in the Jewel of Karnor. In the distance, Talon could even see some of the Icewing eagles and their riders going through maneuvers not far from the citadel.

It wasn’t long before the two of them reached the garrison. Talon spotted a clear place to land. He angled his body and helped guide Kotoru’s so that both of them could land comfortably. With just a few steady wing beats, Talon’s boots were comfortably on the ground and he lowered the shorter male steadily to the ground as well. Briefly, Talon looked over Kotoru to ensure he hadn’t been too jostled by the flight.

“I don’t know how often you’ve flown, Kotoru-san but it can be a bit dizzying sometimes. Are you well?” Talon eyed the young man carefully, ready to offer an arm if the need should arise.

☵ His nerves were wracking his body to no avail, he nodded, grasping onto the royal Avialae as tightly as he could. His body was warm, soothingly so and Kotoru held on close to the man as he spoke. He didn't know what to really expect from this, would they really be able to fly to the guard garrison, how was he going to support the both of them?

His eyes widened when he saw the wingspan of Prince Talon, amazed by the size of the damn things. Before long both men were in the air. It was a whole new experience for him. His eyes opened slowly as he looked out around him, the winds wrapping around his face as they flew through the air.

He looked down, and a flood of terror initially washed over him. The height they were at was high, but after a while of calming himself, he was able to appreciate the beauty of the scenery below. It was beautiful, and he had never seen the city like this before, but he basked in it all its glory while it lasted.

After some time, they had finally reached their destination. Letting out a sigh of relief, Koto took a moment to acclimate himself to being back on the ground. Now that they were on the ground, he could focus on finding clues. Nodding at the Prince's word he got to work looking for anything out of place here at the garrison.

He decided to check inside the victim's room, maybe there was something there that could give him a lead. It hopefully meant that they would be closer to finding out what was behind this. He had to scan over this room with the utmost scrutiny. ☵

Comments: Great summoning writing; you were spot on with the Nahl! I'm interested to see where this would have gone. Alas, either way, great thread and I really enjoyed the dynamic between Talon and Kotoru.
