Name: Auricorpus Arbor

Habitat: The Auricorpus Arbor thrives in temperate forests and wooded areas, particularly in regions with mineral-rich soil and high concentrations of dragonshards, weak dreadmists, or otherwise high magical activity.

Rarity: While not exceedingly rare, Auricorpus Arbor is considered a valuable find due to its unique properties. It is sought after by alchemists, craftsmen, and magical practitioners for its prized metallic bark.

Threat: Low, similar to how one should not stand near a tree in a lightning storm, this tree when exposed to great magical energies naturally draws them in and being near such an event can have unforeseen consequences depending on that magics at play.

Description: The Auricorpus Arbor is a majestic tree with shimmering golden leaves and a thick, metallic bark that glimmers in the sunlight. Its roots delve deep into the earth, drawing upon the latent magical energies that permeate the soil.

Biome Role: Auricorpus Arbor plays a vital role in regulating magical energies within the forest ecosystem. Its roots act as conduits, taking excess magic absorbed by the tree and dispersing it harmlessly into the earth, thus maintaining balance and harmony in the surrounding environment.

Aging & Reproduction: Auricorpus Arbor has a slow growth rate and can live for several centuries under favorable conditions. It reproduces through seeds that are dispersed by wind or animals, with germination rates influenced by the availability of magical energies in the soil. The seeds have metalic shells and chime slightly when agitated, many have strung the seeds like beads onto jewelry and other accessories.

Size: Mature Auricorpus Arbor trees can reach heights of 25 to 35 meters, with a broad canopy spread of 15 to 20 meters. Their metallic bark provides them with added resilience against environmental stressors and physical damage.

Abilities and Features:

Aetheric Conduit: The Auricorpus Arbor acts as a natural conduit for magical energies, passively drawing in excess magic from its surroundings and dispersing it harmlessly into the earth via its roots. This process helps to regulate magical fluctuations and prevent surges or disturbances in the local aether's behavior, to this end the tree can absorb most novice magic and the weakest dreadmists with little to no damage to itself.
Enhanced Healing: Extracts derived from the leaves and bark of the Auricorpus Arbor possess potent healing properties, enhancing the body's ability to absorb and utilize aetheric energies for regeneration and rejuvenation. However this effect also makes the ingested more likely to absorb negative magics if exposed to them.
Copper Alloy Bark: The metallic bark of the Auricorpus Arbor is composed of a unique copper alloy infused with traces of other minerals. This prized material is highly sought after for its durability, conductivity, and magical resonance. Craftsmen and artisans harvest the bark for use in crafting enchanted items, magical artifacts, and alchemical concoctions.

Cultural Significance: Auricorpus Arbor holds great cultural significance among the inhabitants of many small villages, symbolizing prosperity, resilience, and the interconnectedness of magic and nature.

Name: Auricorium Ingot

Purpose: Auricorium Ingots semi common materials used in the crafting of enchanted weapons, armor, and magical artifacts. They harness the inherent magical properties of the Auricorpus Arbor's bark to imbue crafted items with enhanced conductivity, near eternal luster, out competing both bronze and iron in terms of flexibility and ability to hold and edge.
Notable Abilities:

Enhanced Magical Resonance: Auricorium Ingots resonate with aether and absorb it readily, amplifying the ease of inlaying enchantments and spells into items crafted from them. Weapons and armor forged with Auricorium exhibit increased effectiveness against magical creatures able to sever and blur magical pathways cut by blades made from Auricorium.
Conductive Properties: Auricorium is highly conductive to magical energies, allowing for efficient transfer and manipulation of Aether flow. This makes it ideal for use in crafting enchanted items that require precise control over magical properties, such as wands, staves, and magical foci and other tools for directing aether.

Durability: Auricorium is renowned for its exceptional durability and resilience. Items crafted from Auricorium Ingots are able to withstand the rigors of combat and the stresses of magical enchantments, retaining their form and functionality even under intense magical duress. However there is a limit to this absorption and surpassing it will cause the auricorium to seek a ground to disperse excessively contained magic, without a failsafe the most common grounnd is the weilder or wearer of the Auricorium armor.

To this end, more powerful sets of Auricorium are embedded with failsafes capable of absorbing more magic than the Auricorium can.

Material Composition: Auricorium Ingots are composed of a unique alloy derived from the smelting of the metallic bark harvested from the Auricorpus Arbor. The exact composition varies depending on the specific minerals present in the bark, but typically consists of a base of copper infused with traces of other magical and metallic elements.

Description: Auricorium Ingots are lustrous, golden-hued metal ingots with a faint, pulsating glow that emanates from within. They possess a smooth, polished surface and exhibit intricate patterns reminiscent of natural woodgrain. the ingots have to be refined three times over to prevent wood like formations forming when the metal is tempered or cooled. (knots woodsgrain, mild malformations)

Reasons to Interact:

Crafting Enchanted Items: Artisans, craftsmen, and magical practitioners seek out Auricorium Ingots to use as raw materials in the crafting of enchanted weapons, armor, and magical artifacts. The properties of Auricorium make it highly desirable for creating items that need to harness lower levels of magic with ease.

Arcane Research: Scholars and wizards study Auricorium Ingots to unlock the secrets of their magical properties and harness their potential for arcane experimentation. The unique composition of Auricorium offers insights into the manipulation of magical energies and the creation of new enchantments and spells.

Economic Value: Auricorium Ingots are valuable commodities sought after by traders, collectors, and adventurers alike. The rarity and mystical properties of Auricorium ensure that it commands a high price on the market, making it a lucrative investment for those who possess the means to acquire it.
Valued at 175% the going rate of gold (subject to maderator opinion and rarity of the locale, probably extremely rare in non temperate locales.)
