There is a knock at the door, deep and hollow, as though resonating through the earth itself. When the door is opened, no one waits on the other side, but a wind rises, swirling around the one that answered, causing them to duck their head to protect their eyes and to see, on the doorstep, a package wrapped in the most unassuming brown paper and string imaginable. What lies within..?

Folding Gunsmithy:

This small, unassuming leather pouch appears to be the case for a set of small tools made for cleaning, adjusting, and providing quick fixes for firearms in the field. Unless one knows its secrets, that is exactly what it is. Each tool is exceptionally made but plain in appearance, it takes a craftsman's eye to see their value.

To those who know the secret, to one who has attuned to the case, the Folding Gunsmithy is something considerably more.

When activated (activation method to be chosen by Leon from Word, Gesture, Special Catch, or any combination of the three), the case, which normally folds open only once to reveal the basic tools, will unfold significantly more. There are three levels of folding.

1. Basic tool case, no special abilities, though the tools are unbreakable and very fine. Small enough to fit in a pocket.

2. A full tool kit including a small chair with a surface attached (think school desk) to work on. Everything required to do any sort of fixing or building of firearms so long as the gunsmith has all the parts required.

3. When unfolded to it's maximum the case will become a small, three-sided leather tent. Within the tent is a full gunsmith's forge, including anvils, smelting furnace and all the tools, molds and substances required to build a firearm from concept to completion. While the metal and other materials needed to build a gun are not included, any quenching liquids, fuel for the forge, and cleaning substances are. The tent is water and fire proof and highly resistant to physical damage and wear. The forge is large enough for one person to work in comfortably, or two in a pinch. The tent is temperature and climate controlled to ensure ideal conditions for Gunsmithing.

Not one that has ever been seen by you before, but it seems somehow obvious. They smile and offer an envelope of thick paper. The seal is unfamiliar, and yet, familiar, tugging at the mind. As soon as you take the envelope, heavy somehow, in your hands, the messenger turns on their heels and is gone. Breaking the seal you pull out a letter; who could this be from..?

The letter contained the enthusiastic greetings of a person who believes themselves to be your friend, or, perhaps the friend of a relative who is no longer attached to the mortal realm. They believe that they owe you, or are simply very fond of you, personally or by proxy. You made decide the exact details of the Connection. The Connection is a supplier of goods, a merchant or similar, and is able to provide you with the following abilities:

Fence: The Connection will take and sell, at a fair price and without taking a commission, any item you wish to sell. This can be a part of a normal business, selling the goods you make, or it can be items obtained through less than legal means. Whatever the item the Connection will sell it for you without asking any questions and see that you are paid for it.

Obtain: The Connection can obtain items that are difficult to find, whether this is because they are rare, in high demand, or not entirely within the bounds of the law to own. The Connection will offer you a fair price for the items and not inquire as to why you need them.

Discount: The Connection will offer you a discount on normal items (legal and not rare) of thirty percent off the listed price. This does not include land, slaves, animals or anything that wouldn't be sold by an average merchant.

In addition to unlimited uses of these abilities, the Connection has also sent you a small token of their affection in the form of 10 gold pieces.
