A robust smell of fire and char filled his nostrils now that Tailen had drawn closer to the smithy, as it was obvious Ilakai was largely engrossed in his work when sharp pangs filled the air. It was the heavy clash of a fallen hammer against heated metal, the work of a true art being forged by fire and iron. A craft and a trade Tailen could truly appreciate even if he'd never be good at it himself, for a smith could provide much to the world around him, so long as he had the tools and materials necessary to make everything.

The loud bangs of the hammer they could hear stalled in turn, as the trio entered the forge to find Ilakai toiling away with his work.

Huge mighty wings furled themselves against the back of the Synnekar found hammering out the head of a shovel, as he guided the clamps he held to place the piece into the trough of water upon noticing the arrival of his guests.
