RACIAL ABILITY

Raella’s Grace- The Hytori are blessed by the Dragon Goddess of Life and are thus rendered completely immune to mortal diseases. They are resistant to most poisons but they are not immune to them as they will still suffer poisonous effects albeit to a lesser degree depending on that poison’s potency. Magical afflictions affect them just as much as they would any other person. Hytori enjoy longer periods of youth and vitality and only suffer the ill-effects of old age when nearing the final stages of their lives.

PERSONALITY AND APPEARANCE

PERSONALITY

Armed with a smile and jokes, Linden is a spirited young man who has learned (mostly) to temper himself to patience. Always helpful, wanted or not, with a big heart that gets hurt more than not. The willingness to give the benefit of the doubt or second chances blowing up in his face. When asked why he would put himself through that time and time again is because he doesn't want to be ruled by cynicism and sometimes all people need is someone to believe in them.

Linden is hard to anger unless he has reached his threshold or is just annoyed by what is at hand. Trying hard to ensure he doesn't take it out on others who don't deserve it and is quick to remove himself if he must. By any means, Linden doesn't take too kindly to those who insult his friends and family. Only in rare occasions does he get physical and throw the first punch.

With close friends and family is where Linden can relax. Letting his infectious, sometimes annoying, enthusiasm get him into trouble or sidetracked. The various hobbies he is absorbed in to prevent any boredom from ever seeping in and dragging an unfortunate soul to join him. Flashing a smile with a bribery of sorts to get them to come along so he isn't alone since it is no fun talking to yourself or just tag along to whatever they are doing. Boundaries not always existing to either which can be problematic to some.

This doesn't mean Linden doesn't appreciate the contemplativeness of silence. Just him and the natural world around him. This usually happening when he is feeling confused, sad, lost, or seeking comfort. Feeling like he needs a sign from a different source to affirm a decision or action. To convince or fight against himself or to just release all the emotions that he doesn't feel like he needs to burden others with and to maintain that smile.

APPEARANCE

Linden is a fair-skinned young man with short, curly hair and soft brown eyes with a single dimple in his left cheek. During the summer, his skin tans nicely and rarely sunburns unless he over exposes himself. He is toned, but not bulky like others and since he usually wears loose fitted clothes it doesn't really give definition to his shape.

His skin is clear and free of blemishes which has gotten some of the women jealous, but it is all thanks to his parentage. He tries to grow facial hair, but it always looks weird and awkward on him as if Linden is trying to go against nature since his body is pretty hairless. Something Linden finds highly annoying since, in his mind, shows masculinity.


Marks and Scars:

Located on the upper back with a diameter of 5 inches. The coloring is burnished gold that stands out when the sun hits it. His father telling him that it is the symbol of his House and to show Linden that he is their child.

Linden has scars on the sides of his torso that are through and through. Three holes on his left and right and was short of a miracle that he survived. When asked about it, Linden can't really remember the details, but phantom pains plague him from time to time.

18 Glade 86, Age of Steel

It all started with gaze.

Glonir Val’Elanorion, a Hytori Prince from Silfanore, the capital of Turoth visiting the Gelerian Imperium as an emissary. It was during a time when the Imperium was content with their conquest and expansion of land. Meeting with the King Magnus Aleifr, trusted Advisors, and Generals to continue a tense peace with the other emissaries that were there for a meeting. Many wanting to gauge the Imperium and see if there were any future issues were going to arise.

A travel through the courtyard where the King boasted over as Glonir caught sight of a dark-haird beauty inside the gray walls. Trapped like a song bird as she bowed and disappeared from the site of the emissaries, but honeyed eyes met ice clue as he watched her disappear. Her name was Arianna Aleifr and was the lone daughter of the King and Queen.

Over the coming months, Glonir and a few others decided to stay in Capital as a sign of good faith. To show that, as a whole, they are working towards a better world. That despite everything against them they will show that they can work together. This also put him in the presence of the Princess that was soon coming of age as he couldn't stop the blossoming feelings despite the urging of the others that stated that she is untouchable. That she was already betrothed to another noble, the King's right hand man and Advisor who handled all diplomatic negotiations.


29 Ash 88, Age of Steel

Enough was enough.

Enough with the violence towards her. Enough with the way the man who was supposed to cherish their love instead humiliated her in front of him. The Advisor knowing the gaze the Prince had on his wife. Others, herself included, saying it was a trap if he reacted. An excuse to cause discord and that he must rid himself of the feelings that he believed to be true.

Nonetheless, Glorin prayed. Speaking in the languages of old that he wasn't coveting what another had. That what he has been feeling, what has been growing, that he has found his One. The other half that completed him and despite her belonging to another he couldn't stop her image from coming to him.

How sweet the brushing of fingertips or the sound of each others name passing through those lips. The gaze of longing and hope that lingered. Glorin always made sure that during the past two years to never get too close, but it only takes the one time. An evening where the husband left for his other women and she strolled the neighboring woods where she ran into him. What happened next only the stars above could say.

As if his prayers were answered, the Advisor was killed in the most ironic way possible. Visiting one of the brothels and died while enjoying the company of women and wine. The next of kin quick to come claim all of their possessions and estate until it was revealed she was with child. If male, then everything went to them as many disputed over this fact. That only after the death of her husband she is with child?

When examined, it was suggested she was a season along and Arianna stated, which was true, that she has laid with her husband in the beginning and middle of Searing. Now the question is, what do with her since she was now a widow and still the daughter of the current patriarchy. Male relatives now scrambled and it was then Glorin propositioned the King. Telling him that to show good faith, to show that they are working to unify the countries, to let him marry her. That he didn't care if the child she bore wasn't his as his people valued family above all else.

The King offered a compromise. That he can marry Arianna as long as the child wasn't male, but if she produced a male heir then she would be taken back into the family. For out of five siblings, none have produced a male heir as of yet.

On the 12th of Glade, Year 88, a little girl was born much to Arianna's parents dismay. As promised, she was to wed Glorin in a political marriage under the stipulation that they stayed in Gelgrandal which he agreed to without hesitation.

By 94 Age of Steel, Glorin and Arianna had another daughter named Chandra after their first daughter Sybil when Amaran came into the world. Living in the outskirts of the capital of Gelgrandal without too much worry since three of siblings have given birth to boys. With Amaran just being the fifth in line for the throne and being a half-breed made it even less likely as well. Though it didn't stop the growing tension amongst the other races and their children. Many beginning to flee as emissaries were having issues being able to stay.

Glorin and those that served him were feeling the pressure as well, but was able to convince Arianna's father to allow the family to go visit his homeland since it has been 8 years. Stating that he has too much to lose in the Imperium to not come back and that by showing his face, the faces of his family, perhaps it will aid in whatever efforts that were starting to stir.
