Appearance
xxxWith hair as wild and bright as the Plane of Fire itself, heads are bound to turn when Fawn enters a room. Curly locks cascade down her slender, toned frame and end resting gently upon her shoulders. Her skin is pale, and even her supple, soft hands betray the hard work she has put in throughout her years giving off the appearance of a woman who may have never worked a day in her life. Soft ginger lashes frame her eyes which seem to change color as easily as the seasons. One moment a bright blue, reflecting the color of the sky. The next a deep teal of the deepest oceans, bringing mystery in their depths. Her pearlescent complexion, gently dappled with constellations of soft freckles trailing over nearly every inch of her skin, tell a story of countless days under the bright afternoon sun and leave the scent of honey and citrus trailing behind her.
Personality
xxxThe first thing people notice about Fawn is one of two things; her beauty, or her voice. She’s been known for being the life of the party, the center of attention at most gatherings, though she doesn’t put any special effort into this. Perhaps it is the natural sincerity in all of her actions that others find alluring about her, or it could be her contagious giggle that radiates throughout the room as she finds joy in most things. A perfectly good-natured woman by all accounts, if not also unfortunately naive as she may soon discover in her new pursuits in life.
xxxBut sincere as she is, the girl is bold. Courageous, cheeky, confident. Years of running her families farm, riding and taming horses, as well as singing have created in her a drive to always be seeking the most out of life. Don't mistake her kindhearted nature for being a bore- she is quick witted and sharp tongued at the best of times.
Merits
Honest to a Fault: Refusing to lie, Fawn prefers to find more honest, creative ways to win over others
Sympathetic: If someone is in trouble, Fawn wants to help. Caring for others is just in her nature.
Perseverant: She refuses to give up on anything, knowing that effort and time always pay off no matter the task.
Flaws
Messy: Fawn doesn't care if her home is in a state of disarray. While not a slob, she spends no extra time organizing her things.
Naïve: Small town girl moving to a big city, can you say trouble? Fawn is trusting, wanting to see the good in others before believing the worst, and often too inexperienced in life to know anything other than the life she's lead thus far. Perhaps her future life in Kalzasi will change this.
Stubborn: Unreasonably unyielding in the face of 'no'. Perhaps the dark side of the 'perseverant' coin, she has been known to work herself to the bone just to prove a point or fulfil her goals.
History
xxxAs far as family goes, Fawn had a happy one. She was found abandoned on the doorstep of the Brisbane farm in Leirh, (located halfway between Kalzasi & Shemashk) in the winter of 98, no older than a few hours, and graciously taken in by the couple who lived there. Two loving parents, Meredith and Travis Brisbane. She grew up running the small farm with her family in a town hours away from any large city, making a simple life as comfortable as one could.
xxxTending to horses, chickens, and goats were all part of Fawns mornings followed by the delivery of milk and eggs to the residents of Leirh. All was simple, free. She spent holidays horse riding and singing for her towns celebrations. Her melodic voice would resound throughout the town, charming all who listened. In the summer of her 15th year she found love in the eyes of a blonde haired, honey-eyed city girl by the name of Marina. Soft hands and a softer voice taught Fawn how to sing, dance, and laugh like she never had before. Marina taught Fawn how to feel alive. And more than that she taught her about magic- something the farmgirl had only seen tiny inklings of in the skyline at sunset or in books. For the next six years Marina visited the town for a span of one month every Searing. She would show her the magic of the elements, and of love. She opened Fawns eye’s to the idea that something greater lay outside her simple town. Something that called to her from the very depths of her soul.
xxxBut this year, Marina didn’t come. She didn’t write. Not one spec of her scent or sound reached Fawn that year and it tore her to shreds. The following year a letter arrived- she’d moved, and wasn’t coming back. Her heart broke, she wept as she read the delicately written text.
“But, you know you’re meant for more than goats and chickens. Go get ‘em. Go to Kalzasi.
Forever your friend,
Marina.”
And so she did. After a few weeks of planning, hesitation, and consoling her rightly worried parents, she set off to see what the world had to offer, what she could learn, and who she could become in the city of Kalzasi.
