The first time Nnerka had set foot in a market in Kalzasi, she'd been...unnerved.

It wasn't to do with the fact that so many people had congregated in one place; she was used to that. She had similar experiences as a spiderling. It was more so all the...civilization. Technology. People trading something new and innovative - and metallic. All eyes had narrowed as people passed objects and money around. Going back to the markets had been almost like a test, a means to get her more acquainted with the ways and things of people in cities.

Now, though, was different. She actually had a purpose for walking among the many stalls. It was a little harder to squeeze her way through the crowd, lifting her legs higher than usual to get around people or keep them out of the way. People here had little regard for the spider. Chatter - mostly bargaining - continued around her as she sought out what she was looking for. It wasn't odd that she would need jewelry. Beautifying herself only served to aid her in the long run, but she had to be discerning. It had to be just right. Something that would be just for her.

Finding something like that in a market might be a bit of a stretch, but she wanted to try her luck here. She'd heard plenty of stories of people finding things in stalls when they least expected it. She pressed her lips together, brows furrowing as she considered the objects set before her. People shoving their products toward her, only to be waved away. They moved on quickly to the next person.

A sigh left her as she moved off to the side, tiring of her search. She wasn't sure how long she'd been at it, but she couldn't confidently say that she would find what she was looking for. "Maybe it would have been better to just head to a shop." But it would have been more expensive. She hissed at the thought. If there was one thing she'd learned since her time in Kalsazi, it was that getting something cheap was definitely a goal to keep in mind.

So, there she stood. A half-spider, half-hytori woman with her arms (four, exactly) crossed in careful contemplation as all eyes closed in thought. Her robes, wrapped around her tightly, were a slightly more colorful beacon to her hair, peeking out from under her cloak.

Date It was a beautifully average day for the Orkhan. He needed a break from his studies. A chance to free the mind from the focus on a certain subject. Not to say that he was going to just wander mindless. No, in fact he had a much better activity. One that he had refrained from for the last few days. Walking towards the market place, Galius glanced upon the crowd. Eyes darting from person to person. Some he had begun to recognize. Seeing them so many times that he had begun to figure out their fairly regular schedule. Others were ones that he just hadn't bothered watching. Though it was usually the newer merchants that he enjoyed the most.

The city was fairly well set up. The shops there had been there for a fair while. But the ones that set up stalls to move their wares. Those were the ones that brought the most exciting interactions. Some attracted the young with talk of items from far away lands. Most usually junk but seeing the eyes light up of the children was a peaceful burst of distracting joy. And so he watched, close enough to hear the chatter but far enough to not be in the way.

And this particular stall. One decorated with a red cloth over the top. A symbol embroidered in a sort of gold. It was his target. Younger men and ladies, well close to his age, gathered around to see the wares. Sparkling stones and rings of silver and gold lined the top. As a larger man with a bushy beard, speaking out amongst them. Telling them of the treasures that sat before them. Some seemed interested while others were skeptical.

Though it wasn't as exciting as Galius had hoped. As the merchant and his targets just talked. There was no haggling, no blood cutting anger. Just curiosity, which he could respect. But it made it all rather dull.

But much to the Orkhan's luck. A more interesting caught his sight. A woman of beautiful proportions from the waist up now attracted his eyes. Though it wasn't the upper half that interested him. As much as the entirety of her unique form. From the top she just looked like a normal woman. However the lower half was more spider like. Pushing away from the wall, Galius began to move closer to her. Overhearing her statement and sliding within a safe distance. "That depends on what it is you seek. Forgive my for intruding, but I couldn't help but notice that you seem like you were seeking something... I am Galius the Seventh Son. And I might be able to help you, if you so require."

Nnerka had resigned herself to the fate of not getting what she wanted for the day. Maybe, she'd even ask a more loyal client to bring her something like what she wanted. The returning ones were usually eager to give her a gift of some kind. Would it really make them happy to know that she was happy? People in the city were strange like that.

But just as she had given up hope, something stopped her. Someone. She turned her head to find the source of the voice and -- well. He wasn't that small, but he was still smaller than she. And thus, she found herself somewhat impressed to know that he was closer in height to her. The green of his skin gave him away to be Orkhan. A rare treat for her, these days.

"You couldn't help but notice, hm?" He sounded like a flirt first, but salesman second. Two eyes drifted down his frame, landed on the sword at his hip. Did salesmen carry weapons like that now? Her interest was certainly piqued on what this man had to offer. "Galius the seventh? What of the first six?" Probably not funny, but there was no harm in something that amused her being used against him if he sought to help her? Or, well, if he wanted to parade himself around as some sort of salesman he would deal with obnoxious customers.

She knew she did in her line of work.

The crowding of the market provided a bit more warmth, what with all the bodies milling about in close proximity. Enough that she could draw back her cloak some. A bit of a relief, though it did draw a few stares from newcomers to see a full view of her face. The eyes that adorned it, open and watching them for the sake of seeing them squirm. She stifled a giggle before turning her attention fully onto Galius.

"Galius the Seventh, you may call me Nnerka. I would give you a card, but I have none with me." A sigh, almost wistful, left her as she cupped her elbow and propped her chin in the palm of one hand. A pyramid effect of limbs holding each other up. Claws framed her face as she pouted, pushed full lips out as she looked down at the man. "It appears that I am unable to find a particular piece of jewelry. Would you know something about that?"
