It was one of his half days and so Pah took the chance escape from the fortress, and even from his family for the day. He wasn’t really tired of either, but he felt like doing something different on this day, and so he had downed his normal everyday clothing and taken to the streets of the city. Pah’s clothing were well made and very practical, but weren’t particularly fashionable, and he stuck to what he had heard a rich woman once call peasent colors. Pah while recognizing the insult took pleasure in knowing that he and his family blended well into the crowd.

The young man though was conscientious of his clothing on this particular trial. He had meet with Talon and Aoren last season when they had found themselves exploring the Warren’s together. The white winged Avialae had dropped in and offered some help. They had continued farther into the Warren’s together after that. At one point though the other Avialae had invited Pah to visit his shop. It had been specifically in regards to a conversation they were having about making a concoction that helped Reavers recover from the after effects of using there pact.

Pah had been impressed by the other young man and so decided to visit the shop regardless of the potion. The young man hadn’t ever been in a shop like this. His bound weapon and personal armor was supplied by his family, and the rest by the guard. Because of that he hadn’t ever actually been to a forge that didn’t specialize in the wagons, and shoeing animals.

The glacier blue eyed young man didn’t pause at the sight of the shop but walked in though there was a slight hesitation in his step. He moved a bit in before pausing to look around. It was an impressive sight, but with his warrior upbringing he didn’t stop a gauche. Instead he took slowly and steady paces around the from of the shop and took in the various items, he was slightly stunned by what he saw. The wealth in this place was impressive, and skill equally so. Pah had flash backs to once going with his father to the Armory, when they had get his older brother larger armor after a rather impressive growth spurt.

He felt like that, though all of this was new. The stuff in that armory while had new things had been ancient. Both were brilliant and took the youths breath away. Pah briefly wondered what his life would be like know if the Imperium had stayed home, or they had broken the siege. Then with a physical shake of his head Pah continued to wander the shop until someone approached him.

Talon stood before the forge. He was carefully hammering into place an aether pathway meant to reinforce the kinetic power infused into the cloth that had been crafted by his hands. He gently rolled it with the tongs before solidifying its placement. As he finished the work he began to tug at the edges of the cloth. Carefully he began the work of unthreading the cloth into finer filaments in order to be reworked into the form of a spellthread. Little by little he tugged away at it switching between a combination of pulling and elongating with his tongs and bringing a very fine pair of scissors to the strip of cloth. Next to him, his apprentice was watching with rapt fascination.

“How is that done?” Velkan asked in a near whisper. On his face was a pair of aura glass spectacles that were allowing him to follow the flow of Talon’s movements through the arcane. Talon smiled without looking up.

“Items worked upon the main anvil of the runeforge apparatus retain their malleability. Broken down into their primal essence as they are by the forge and reshaped from the viscerite, we work to give shape and structure to what we see in our minds.” Talon took up a hammer, exchanging it for the scissors. He began lightly hammering into place the aether pathway that allowed the current section of material to retain its shape. He worked on this section for several moments before picking up the scissors once more. Carefully he slid the blade of the shears along another strip of cloth so that he could work it.

“It is a methodical form of work. It takes time and you must have a clear vision of how you want to restructure the aetheric pathways inside of the item as you begin working on it.” Talon kept a grasp on the tongs. He extended the scissors to his apprentice. Velkan went a bit wide eyed as he looked at them, the cloth and then back to Talon.

“Are you sure?” Talon nodded. The young Avialae stepped forth and grasped the scissors. Talon maneuvered the young man so that he was positioned well to handle the crafting. He turned the tongs over to him so that Velkan could begin working the anvil and the spellthread himself. The first few passes, Talon guided his apprentice’s hands so that he got the motions down. Once that was complete, Talon stepped back, folded his arms over his chest and watched. He stirred his aether into motion so that he could watch how Velkan grasped the aether pathways. He prompted the young man quietly but for the most part, he let Velkan learn and follow his own instincts so that he could get a feel for how to guide and move the energy himself.

After a few minutes of simply observing, Talon let the flow of his aether fall back. He blinked, dismissing his Semblance with a nod.

“You are doing well, Velkan. Well done. I am going to go retrieve a few dragonshards and get started on some more work for the gauntlets.” Velkan nodded as Talon turned making his way up to the main floor of his shop. He stretched, spreading his wings and rubbing at the back of his neck. As he made it to the main floor, he immediately saw a pair of pristine white feathered wings that drew his attention. The sight of white feathered wings was rare for Avialae, just as rare as Talon’s silver wings. They were a mark of prestige and he knew on one hand how many people had them. He saw the broad form of a familiar and friendly face that made him smile.

“Pahoran?” Stepping forward, Talon placed his hands on his hips smiling warmly at the taller Avialae. “Welcome. What brings you to the Skyforge?”

The blue eyed knight turned not to look at the owner of the store. He smiled as he turned to look at Talon. The handsome prince seemed pleased to see the squire. Pah bowed his head in greeting and grinned and said. “You invited me to see the shop and so I decided to take the chance.” His gaze turned around and he admired the shop. “There are many masterpieces here.” He said taking it in.

He turned back to the owner. “My sister would love to see this place. She wants to craft works of art like this.” He said then laughter, “She keeps telling me she wants to crafter her self one day to fly in the skies with her brothers.” He shook his head. “Sorry. How have you been recently?”

Pah honestly was always curious things and while he was sure he wouldn’t become a blacksmith he always enjoyed seeing such things. He did like the idea of know how to craft the potion around which the invite had been given. Even if the prince was busy it was interesting to see the shop
