Dear Brianne,
We have been well in fact! Things at the palace are good now that Rickter and I have settled in, though he still keeps himself busy with as much as he can. He spends a lot of time in the gardens, as well as outside the city sometimes, still fixed on training in new ways even after he's become a knight to Prince Talon. I honestly think he's pushing himself harder now, which gives excellent clause to the idea that he needs a day reserved for a bit of rest.
I'm glad that Senara is getting better as well, although the fact her hair nearly caught fire is troubling! I'm more than happy to take a day out of our time to help, it wouldn't do for her to burn herself after all. Maybe Rickter and I can bring a few spare for her as well, something to help get her started with settling into society a bit easier. It's been a while since I've had to cut hair, and Rickter's due for his own trimming here within the next couple of days!
Still, I don't know how he'll take to Senara just yet, all previous aggressions aside he's still only warming up to her. He's 'humbled' by your invitation to fight, as he puts it, but something tells me that's just his way of respectfully declining. Who knows though, he could very well be persuaded to, even though he doesn't seem inclined to do so. Still, the offer of food wasn't something he could ignore, in fact, I could tell he was weighing the options shortly after I expressed it. I honestly need to pay more attention to what he actually likes, rather than just assume he's happy with food in general, as the dire bear sounds interesting to try for him!
I'll be sure to try and make Rickter take a day off from his normal routine, it'll do him some good to have a minor break, and maybe reconnect with Senara for a little bit as well. Hopefully, they'll be a bit closer to friends before we both leave. Wouldn't that be something?
