Grand Central Station

As the central most building, Grand Central Station is the largest structure on East End and is the most highly trafficked place in the entire city. This massive station is the hub for all incoming and outgoing trains in the city. It also hosts a docking area for the smaller airships within the city. Though those are mainly used by rich locals, it is still a sight to see when airships take off from the station puffing with steam and smoke like it's own workshop.

The station itself is running 24/7. Although many of the trains do not run at night, there are plenty that do and there is not a quiet moment among it's hours. In this way the station itself seems nearly alive and is kept impeccably clean for such a busy place. Some consider it the heart of the city, and many tourists and artists come here just for the unique architecture alone.

Each section of the city; East End, Grungeworks, West End, and even the Presidium has it's own wing for trains and airships to dock in. Tickets are purchased at any of the open desks or hubs, of which there are more of than bathrooms scattered throughout every floor of the building. Though should one run late, a ticket may be purchased on the trains themselves as ticket collectors go around to collect stubs. *(For a much higher price, of course)*

While waiting for a train, there are simple food and drink stands and even small alcohol booths for simple refreshments during layovers and delays. Of course, no drinks may be brought onto the trains or airships, but not to worry as the vehicles themselves have refreshments available by request on airships or at designated cars on the trains. As a major tourist attraction, the food is also surprisingly well made and reflects Zaichaer's pride in itself. Students and employees of the station are offered discounted tickets using their ID cards and ID numbers, though even without such discounts the station remains affordable for most people living in Zaichaer.
