When Mino left, the room had suddenly become too quiet. The water sloshing too loud, the ringing in her ears like knives to her solace. It hadn't been often that she was truly alone anymore, and while usually welcoming of such comfortable time, she found herself immediately missing the comfort of the purring human- cat- Rathari that had left more warmth on her skin than the water itself.
But she sighed. She closed her eyes and replayed the last few moments in her mind. She bathed, for sure she bathed. After all her body was absolutely dirtied by the events of the day. But after she was done, after the water had settled around her and the moon laughed at her predicament, she found her hands trailing to places they rather shouldn't.
No- she stopped herself. It was rude, they'd just met, and without his knowledge it felt violating. Frustrated but flushing, Fawn pulled herself from the waters and began drying her weary limbs. Though not all off her remained dry even after she returned, towel wrapped around her head, to the shed out back and began to settle in for the night. The room was cold, more so than even the past three nights had been. Horribly so, her bare feet and toes like ice to the floor. but thoughts of Mino's embrace and their shared lingerings kept a soft haze on her freckled cheeks as she slipped under the covers of her cot and stared up at the ceiling.
Mino... he was unlike anyone she'd met. Unlike any animal she'd come across, either, and yet he was literally. literally, the very animal she swore she'd never get attached to. And yet here she was, heart skipping a beat as the memory of his hands buried into her hair trailed over her like his fingers had trailed over her own. And with thoughts of him flirting into her mind she drifted off to a hazy, drunken sleep.
