Despite the coming storm that Rickter felt brewing within him he knew, for sure, that he would somehow pull through it okay in the end. For one he had two of the most important people there to support him, more importantly, the ones that could understand him on a much deeper level. Deeper than what anyone else could comprehend, let alone what he ever dared to reveal to the world. What's more? They never once questioned anything about him nor his identity, only merely brought him to enjoy the world as it was meant to be. Vibrant, stark, and even chaotic. But they embraced him for who he was, and then enabled him to face the world with renewed courage. He no longer needed to shelter himself from the burdening troubles of attachment, because he believed in his heart that their feelings were as genuine as they felt. So imagine the serenity that entered his state of mind as Talon leaned forward, having already felt the man embrace him across the depths of their Bond so that he could in turn empower Rickter yet again.

When their lips pressed together there flowed passion, with a resounding bravado that embraced the wolf from where he'd lain. The fact that these two men, both, could let a total stranger into their lives and help him learn to love again... Seeing the peace found in Talon's gaze when he retreated away, the wolf's eyes lingered on him in that moment, his gaze lined with a dual sense of relaxed and discomfort. He wasn't pained necessarily just incrementally uncomfortable with the waves that hit him, each roll higher than the last so they felt as though they hit him longer. Talon expressed the one lingering fact that would keep the wolf grounded with this, the fact this shifting flowing within him has always been there before. It was the Aetherflow. The Flux as it had been called, and his goal in regards to successfully pulling through with this initiation. At the beckon to command it's flow to his whim, Rickter gulped hard before he gave a gentle nod to the man above him. His eyes darted to Aoren to linger on him as well, before they would switch back to Talon with a slow drop of the eyelids.

Focus... He felt he could maintain that within the next roll... however...

As his thoughts receded Rickter felt himself withdraw, spiritually perhaps, in a way that felt akin to falling through an empty void. He still felt Talon and Aoren reaching out to him, in fact, their thoughts embraced him like the warm blanket the wolf wore them as. Yet as far as what took place in their arms it was akin to falling fast asleep, the moment that next wave came hurdling through his very being. "Command it..." He reminded himself as he held onto that specific objective, as he was determined to regain himself by the next roll. Yet when he opened his eyes the wolf found he wasn't in the presence of his companion's anymore, at least not in the way he was just moments ago, they still felt as if they were right beside him even though he stood alone. Alone on the surface of the endless sea once more, in the place he'd occasionally return to, only with no idea as to the significance of its meaning to him.

The land of ocean and sky as Rickter called it, a place only he knew to be deep within himself. Yet what he saw wasn't the endless ocean that spanned before him, no there were clouds overhead that circled a ring where the sun shone through, while waves had risen so high that they might as well been mountains in the distance all around. Was this... part of his connection to the aether? Did the waters here respond to the whims of aether as it did in the waking world? Or was the water... his aether? The thought led him to wonder for a moment as a ripple the size of a hill billowed from the mountains of water, the wave coursing it's way toward the center where Rickter stood alone. But he wasn't alone was he? For the moment the rush of water came to meet at the centerfold, the veil of light that poured over him as the sun shone brighter. Briefly. A surge of confidence flowed through Rickter as he felt the waters around him quake, and cancel out the rippling wave before it assailed him directly at the core. Water came gushing past his ankles still though, indicating that he was observing this for a limited time.

Whispers then started to reach his ears as the wolf looked in a general direction, his eyes focused on the risen tides as they touched the heavens. The fact that the clouds were near hiding their peaks daunted him initially, and yet, the words of encouragement he heard only urged him to move ever forward. “You’ve got this. We’re here with you. Every step of the way.”

"I've got this!" He repeated aloud with his own confidence, as Rickter threw out his arms as a means to control the water. But Elementalism wasn't the goal here, for he had already suffered for that a season ago. No. Here the water represented the Aetherflow, the Flux, and it was his own personal flow to boot. So that meant he had to ascertain control over it through the new rune bestowed upon him, and that also meant ascertaining the level of control he had over his own aether. Breathing deeply but at a faster pace now Rickter threw his arms out with fingers clenched, his lower lip bitten fiercely in determination as he focused on the water itself. Another ripple pulsed down from the heavens then, as he observed the crest of the current in its descent toward the epicenter. Toward him. "We've got this!" His tone felt backed by another as he said that, the echoes of who they belonged to faint on his thoughts as Rickter felt himself... change. There was no other way to put it, something about him changed here as he focused.

As the crest of that next wave came barreling toward him, Rickter felt as though Talon and Aoren did stand next to him, enough to where he could've even imagined seeing the two with him. Whether they were or not, he wasn't sure, only that their presence in this place further empowered him to conquer this next wave. Finally, it came ready to crash into him, before once more another pulse surged from where he stood to cancel out the cascading water. Rickter focused on the aspect of that force he felt, realizing not only where it came from but how it felt, and breathed in deeply before twisting his wrists around to alter the position of his hands.

With a bit more emphasis on that feeling he reached out, and moments later the walls of the ocean began to barrel all the way down toward him. The wolf took a deep breath and scrunched his eyes hard, pushing outward with all his will as he felt the waters around him pulsate and rise. As the water came crashing down around him the clench of his jaw took place, and for all the pushing back he could muster the wolf still felt the ocean around him close in. He felt swallowed rather than crushed by the raging tides that swelled around him, before he'd been embraced by the depths that threatened to drown him. Yet when his eyes opened he wasn't underwater any longer, instead, he awoke back in Talon and Aoren's embrace once more. Finally, that long-held breath he kept caged found release.

And the wolf rose gradually to graciously press his lips over Talon's when he did.
