Brenner blinked at the counter to his objection. A snarl curled his lip- unconsciously wolf-like in the presence of a lupine Rathari. He was not one to suffer the resistance of some sub-human trash when he only sought to carry out the will of the State. He reached for his side-arm and closed his fingers about the grip. Or he would have, had there been a grip to be closed about.
He gasped, realising that his faculties had been compromised through sorcery. Goosepimples sprung up all over his skin as the chill resultant of that knowledge swept over him like a tsunami. His skin prickled, he thought, because of the unearthly violation that was being dealt him- Not because of his all too rational fear of the same. It was only after processing this, that he saw his weapon in the hands of another.
The expression in Brenner Dornkirk's eyes as he regarded the scene before him was fitting to his name, as it might be translated from the original Gelerian. Amidst the icy blue of his iris churned a furnace burning hate for those who had just compromised his purity. He had (at least to his knowledge) never been touched by magic hitherto that moment, and it stripped him of something precious to him- a point of pride in his State sanctioned prejudice. He couldn't even form the words to curse these violators, but his violent visage said more than any utterance of the tongue could hope to relate.
The pursuant injury was the worse, though he only had a moment to process it before its Mesmeric effects took hold and softened his demeanour. Part of him cried out within, but it was muffled. He met the eyes of the creature who chucked his chin. But no- Creature no longer felt apropos, so his thoughts amended it to 'woman' as her magicks softened his feelings toward her for the nonce.
He turned back to the bar and seated himself to await a fresh drink.
