Franky snorted, watching Blondie's skill of coins and tongue at work. Franky knew better than to play Coppers against her particular type of goblin, let alone her. It was one of their most favorite games, and her reputation for that preceded her. Franky then turned to Millie, "Yes, you're most certainly hired, Millie. You've done great tonight. I would like you to stay up here and keep doing your thing. And keep an eye on the bar. Most behave, but none but you and me are allowed back here. Anyone breaks it, banned for life." He smiled at her, "I'll take care of the kitchen, you handle the front."
With a nod, Franky slipped in the back. He knew the lockbox was safe regardless, but he wanted Millie to know the seriousness of the responsibility he was giving her. Back in the kitchen, Franky went about his usual routine. Water so hot it made his hands raw, soapy. Then came the deep, scrubbing of all the surfaces. He'd had more than enough of this practice from both his time as a child helping his father on the food cart, and in the military. After that, he went through, neatly organized everything he'd touched through the day, moving it back to exactly where he had it before. And then he finished with a deep scrubbing of the floor.
Once everything was spotless, an hour or so later, he stepped back out into his bar. All that was left were the few night owls nursing their drinks, the few people that had passed out, and Millie. Franky grabbed his bar ledger and unlocked the lockbox cover, pulling the interior box out. He began counting the day's take. As he did, he plucked out a small, leather pouch, dropping in an appropriate amount of coins, added a few more, tying it up, and setting it before the ledger.
Once the place looked clean enough under Millie's ministrations, he waved her over. "Here's your pay for the day. You can call it a night. I threw in some extra coins in there. I'd like for you to go buy some working clothes. I'm sure you've seen that its messy here, so it only seems fair I provide you the clothes that would be potentially ruined." He smiled toothily at her, "You're my first hire, and you've certainly earned it. Drink some water, and when you're able, come by a bit earlier tomorrow. We can discuss terms, do some paperwork and such."
With that done, Franky went through the routine of writing out the debt notes for the passed out people, and slipping them into pockets, coin pouches, once a boot. He wasn't overly concerned if they actually paid or not, but most did. As he finished, he tossed out the last call decree, while Blondie raised her glass that she'd just drained. The few other stragglers finished up and slipped out the front.
Franky reached for the bottle she'd been working on, when he turned back, seeing the way she was eyeing him. "Ya know, I have an old vintage in back, been saving for a special occasion." Blondie smiled, a shark having caught her prey, and hopped down off her stool, walking around to the other side of the bar.
"Well, I'd say I'm certainly a special occasion."
Franky could only smirk, watching as she disappeared back into the kitchen. He grabbed his ledger and lockbox and followed after her, locking the kitchen door behind him.
