Dusk did meet its end. But the beauty of the sunset may well have never faded; he was still caught in that moment, entranced by the coloration of the horizon and now the opaque nature of the stars... entranced in the simplicity of it all, his moment with Riven included.
Taelian, the man called to him. He was beginning to like his name; he enjoyed how it sounded on Riven's lips, the way in which he regarded him with such passion and fondness, now expressed in the way he traced the edge of his jaw with his grasp and kissed him with deepening furor. The Avialae treated him the way one did someone they cherished. Perhaps, given such regard, he could extend that liking beyond his name and to himself as a whole.
The kiss was soft and wondrous. He kissed him back, even knowing that he was awaiting words that betrayed the softness in which they were spoken, or so he thought. He still trembled at the chance of rejection, and braced himself for what might have come. Somehow, like this, it was easy.
But that was not quite what he got. He was complimented, quite a lot; it brought a silly smile to his face to be told he had a 'perfect body', and all other manner of things. Riven was giving him a choice, and the Kathar informed him that he would choose him. Taelian would not be owned, he would be wanted. He had never meant his words so literally, but he supposed a fragment of his thoughts included the chance at being supplementary to another man; almost an object to him, so long as he was kept with care. But Riven wanted Taelian to be his own self, and that... that resonated with him.
Because with the Sigil, he had never been given that option. He was herded like a lamb, and that was simply the expectation. To be valued more than that, even if Riven did not know what it meant to be Famished, it was important to him. He was somehow capable of seeing himself as - worth it.
"I choose you too, Riven," he professed, his soft lips growing a slim smile that displayed his reserved excitement. He was happy. He could see nothing in this man that could not be loved, with all of who he was.
Riven held him close, and explored his physique with his hands. They kissed, locked together beneath the night sky, as dusk truly faded away.
He spoke again, trying to ignore the gap in-between. "For all the above reasons as you described to me, only greater. Stay with me," he entreated him. "Stay with me, tonight."
