Baudric held his side a moment as Talon stood to assist Telion. A queer look on his face as doubt set itself to his senses. He knew they didn't have the methods the Imperium had to treat demonic injuries. So the idea they thought they could simply cast a healing spell to make it all better amused him. Placing his arm about his waist he wanted to feel this 'healing' happen in real time.

The air shifted, a light breeze began to blow in the greyscape of his mind. Something that had never happened before. The golden flecks of his eyes began to glow along with his Negation Rune on his chest as if to respond to the energy in the air coming off the two of them. He didn't know what to expect but it certainly wasn't what began to unfold before him. Shock in utter reverence gripped at his heart. Talon unfolded like a blossom of pure light to banish the shadows of the greyscape. Like molten platinum with irrefutable evidence Talon was exactly what he said he was. Baudric would have dropped to his knees were it not for him sitting already.

Like a living creature, the demonic ichor within him began to recoil from the light, wanting to consume Baudric faster as it dug deeper to get away. Gritting his teeth to the searing pain coursing through his blood. Breathing hurt. The air felt like blades across his skin. His mind filled with the roar of a hundred pillars of burning pyres. Pure purifying flame then joined with the brilliant warm light coming off Telion. It was so much he had to hold fast against the pain. His soul reached out to them both to finish this quickly.

He felt the gaze of the Inquisition upon his back as if they would cry out to the blasphemous actions Baudric allowed to be set upon him. He shut them from his mind quickly. Surely there is no way they would know that a reborn god not recognized by the Sovereign nor the Inquisition cleansed that which he could feel now with ever fiber of his being, threatening to claim his life and soul to the Abyss beyond the Gash.

Rickter watched as Telion was delicate with the injured Kathar, Baudric also giving some small effort to make the examination a bit easier. Talon stepped forward to provide his aid for Telion. The wolf had to admit the lady knew her stuff for only a practitioner, though, she could only have spent her time reading books related to the topics such as this. Even when her body couldn't allow her to continue her newfound purpose, she still found a way to improve her knowledge of injuries at the pharmacy. Her knowledge from that insight alone almost stunned Rickter, as he genuinely felt impressed with her dedication to her craft.

As the Nimbus manifested into the crown over Talon, Rickter felt his mark tingle with a bright silver glow. The Eminence emblem glimmered through the fabric of his white sleeve, as he felt the warming embers of Dawnfire gradually build beneath his skin. It was always a strange sensation to behold, given its nature, and yet the warmth it generated felt a welcoming blessing in its own right. Rickter felt a hesitation within Talon for a moment, a sense of concern slightly arisen for a moment, having not forgotten the last visit the Demigod had with another.

Yet what was most impressive was the miracle that Rickter had started to see take place.

For he gazed upon Telion with pure wonder as of then, seeing the radiance of the flame illuminating her from a different angle. When Talon had generated a bit of the Dawnfire, and the time came for her to accept it from him, even the healer was amazed by the purity of the flames she beheld. For a moment she too seemed a bit nervous, never having actually considered the consequence of bearing such a flame. Yet it was beautiful. And seeing both Telion and Talon at the center of it all, Rickter truly felt as if his heart melted at the bond they also shared.

With his blessing given the woman was then gifted with just the fraction of his power she needed, her smile only certain even before she felt it's power course through her. As she gasped a moment her Mendicus branches grew from around her collar bone and outward, her entire body almost resemblant to Talon's but without the magical arc above his head. Even so, the wolf watched in pure awe of his beloved, as Telion's branches glimmered a bright silver when they finished extending to her hands. The healer closed her eyes for a studious approach with Baudric, a reaffirming smile given to Talon before the woman hovered her hands above Baudric's wounds.

"Thank you, Prince Talon." And with a focus on his chest, the Kathar found a glistening silver light radiating throughout his skin. Initially, he felt the heat that seared out the toxic traces, yet it was so instant that a constant warmth followed afterward. As though a weight had been lifted, and the tension gradually reduced as she continued to treat the wounds there. While she could tell where the more serious gashes were among the several injuries, Telion's treatment had only the power to reduce them to smaller scratches as the minor wounds around them completely healed. "Now onto the more tricky one." She softly remarked with a calm demeanor, glancing toward the wing appendage the man also had wrapped.

Then with careful hands, she unraveled the bandages around it, revealing the intensive bitemarks that near tore across the entire wingspan. For a moment, she acknowledged it with a sense of dread. If a demon had really been capable of this, then she didn't wish to imagine such horrors that thing could inflict in person. "Good news. The bones are intact," she nearly praised, "but like the others, this too will need a bit more treatment. And reduced stress for a bit of the recovery as well." Of that she felt certain, had anything been torn or the wing shredded; then she'd certainly had felt out of her league.

Nevertheless, she would've tried, as she did now with another hover of her palms. "Now, heal." Telion's focus generated another array of silver stars that brightened until the aether radiantly seeped into the bite marks throughout Braudic's wing. Just like before Telion emphasized on regenerating the deeper part of the wounds, the deeper ones made into lesser punctures while the smaller indentures healed completely. After she finished Telion lowered her hands and let out a sigh, with another gentle smile given to the Kathar. As the marks of her Emblem faded out she stepped back, mindful of Rickter as he came to her side to bring forth the box of cakes.

While he'd only gotten to eat two, there were still two left for the poor bastard. The wolf couldn't help but more so eye the plate of cold food as well, though, he paid more attention to the woman at his side as she slowed herself for a moment. She hadn't healed this much in a long while, and he worried even though she wouldn't show it. That probably drained her more than she cared to let on, regardless, the healer looked to every with a smile before she focused on Rickter and then Talon.

Talon beheld the corruption that had seeped its way into Baudric’s body. He narrowed his eyes at it and like he had done before, he shone the light of his nimbus upon it and scorched it from within the body of the knight. He would not suffer its presence and so even though it writhed and railed against his will, he brushed it aside as though it were little more than an annoying cobweb that needed to be flicked away. He was grateful for the medium of soothing healing that Telion’s touch undoubtedly provided for the Kathar. The purging of demonic presence was never a pleasant thing and Talon was no healer but he did his best to cause as little pain as possible. When it was over, Talon gave Telion’s should a gentle squeeze before stepping back and offering her the seat he had previously occupied.

“Well done, Telion.” Talon stepped back so that Rickter could offer the cakes to Baudric. He then gently elbowed Aoren which prompted the man to look up from the lemon cake he was munching. He gave a befuddled look before realizing that he was being prompted to share his sweets with the man in the hospital bed. Swallowing the mouthful he currently had, he set two cakes upon Baudric’s bedside with a smile. With his thumb, he wiped away some of the frosting from his mouth and sucked it off.

“Rest up, Brother. You’re gonna need your strength. You’re not a prisoner but…” He shrugged one shoulder, a distant look entering his eyes. Talon felt the swell of memories building up inside of his bondmate. He did not try to push them away, rather he performed the mental equivalent of holding Aoren’s hand tightly. “...like in Kalzasi can be hard. Not because people are unkind but because now you can make a life on your own. If you wish.”

Aoren looked down at the floor for a moment. Talon placed a hand on his lower back.

“That kind of freedom can be overwhelming at first.” Straightening himself, Aoren stared Baudric in the eyes. “There are others here in the city. If you ever want to meet them, I’m not hard to find.”

With that, Aoren stepped back. He looked around at those gathered.

“We should go. Ser Baudric is likely exhausted.” Talon had to agree with his partner. He joined Aoren at the door but waited as to allow Rickter and Telion their chance to give the Kathar one last look over in cast he needed anything.

Baudric steadied his breath in the greyscape. Surrounded by the four energy signatures vague in appearance. Minute changes in them as they interacted with each other. The bright light and pyre of flame poured healing into him bit by bit burning the ichor away. Were he not in the greyscape he surely would have suffered the pain. As it was it was merely a bother, but still enough to make his brow sweat and his heart race.

In one final flare of power from Talon through Telion saw to the end of the purge, the corruption gone their burning energy dimmed to match that of the other two as a dull fuzzy light. Looming off in the distance like a dark tower on the horizon was the crumbled monolith.

Baudric lowered himself back against his pillow, drenched in sweat his breath ragged. His eyes moved slowly watching as Aoren placed the cake by the bedside.
"Mein Dank an euch alle. Ich hoffe, dass ich das bald essen kann. Meine Stärke verrät mich gerade."

Closing his eyes as Talon suggested they should all leave but the only thought persisting in his mind. was Aoren telling him he was available to meet with. He did very much wish to talk to him. To learn, to understand. Why did he leave the Imperium? What was better than the honor that was instilled in them since birth? He made a vow to have a real talk with him before he returned to the Legion. He would not try to talk the man back. He knew that was a lost cause. Not that he would be permitted a place back in the Legion. The Sovereign only allowed so many of them to serve. At best Aoren would be stripped of his wings and made to serve. At worse, death. No let him live his life a traitor to the Imperium. Baudric didn't even know what awaited him if he returned. Was he already declared Killed in Action?

As Talon commended the healer for her work the blonde looked up to him, and generated a warm smile with a bow of her head as she returned to Rickter's side. There came a moment between them where the wolf took her by the hand, and gave it a gentle squeeze as he watched Talon nudge Aoren. The raven-winged Kathar was next to provide his share of the sweet treasures they had brought, the snacks likely a better improvement for Baudric's mood now that he had cakes to munch on later.

There was no denying that Aoren spoke from an experienced mindset, his words garnering a look of empathy and respect from Rickter as he waited. Once the Knight Captain said his piece for the Kathar Legionnaire, Rickter allowed the moment to serve for his own chance to say something. "Anytime you're in need of a hand, or the support of a wolf, then give a good whistle, and at the very least I'll come to aid if ever I'm in range of hearing it." He offered gently as the firmness in his features was non-existent, the wolf showing complete comfort in welcoming another into the city altogether. "I'll do my best to help out where it matters as well."

The assurance was always a constant for people like Talon and Aoren, and with Baudric, that could be the case for him someday as well after a while. But it seemed like they were due to give the Legionnaire his time, the poor bastard likely needing rest after enduring such injuries. Telion gave the Kathar a respectful bow with a "pleasure to meet you," before she straightened to look back up to Rickter and the other two. After giving her just as much a fond attentive stare as he did to his Bondmates, the wolf allowed for her to exit first as he followed her out, with a bit of a soft smile to his lips as he reflected on the mood with Talon and Aoren.
