Ah, the woman was a relative newcomer. That made a lot of sense, really, all things considered. “Ah…I was born here, and though I am not always in the city itself, I always come back.” Jae-Seong deliberately refrained from implying anything about his age as he found some information better to leave out; he knew not what this woman even was.
Accepting her gift, a smile drew itself upon the man’s soft features. “Scrivening is a truly versatile art, is it not?” He posed the question as he folded the scroll and gently tucked it away into his robes. “I’ve only just begun my journey with magic. I’ve minor skill in both Elementalism and Reaving, but little more than basic knowledge of most non-rune magics. Should curiosity compel me, I’ll head your way.” The swordsman spoke somewhat coyly, though that emotion was subtle.
And to her last question, his smile broadened. “Why would I not? You are striking.” Certainly not a lie, though his interest was piqued for numerous reasons. “...but that’s tertiary. You cut a mysterious silhouette; not often I meet somebody who stalks across the water’s surface with such grace, appearing in the fog as an apparition might. And then I find you’ve managed to set up a business for yourself and a manor so imposing in so short a period of time…? I am…intrigued; there is clearly more to you than the average person at the very least.” If he were at all correct, he also assumed that she would not reveal all of her secrets with any haste; so to sate his curiosity, the two would have to meet again.
"I assume you are a mage beyond just a Scrivener...?"
