Though it was unusual for the redhead to show what he was feeling outwardly when he was feeling things deeply, his boy had a feel for it. Maybe it was his Semblance Rune, etched into him by Aurin's own hand, something connecting them, or maybe it was just instinct, but Torin believed he could feel emotional changes in his paramour.
His face lit when his extended invitation was accepted, however off hand, he knew that his mentor was mentor to many others in addition to running two (three) businesses and it felt like a gift to be given so much of his time.
"It isn't till the seventh. I want to be there at least a day before the audience though. I figure a day for travel means we leave on the fifth? Do you think you'll be able to get back with your Rune from there?"
If Aurin could map the aether streams between Kalzasi and Starfall then, perhaps, in Glade, Torin could spare a weekend to show him the beautiful Valley he had discovered. Maybe they could get permission to build a little cabin there and slip in via Traversion whenever they wanted true privacy. The idea was thrilling and felt almost naughty, like he was stealing something, or, more likely, like he knew the sorts of things Aurin would do to him if they were tens of miles away from anyone else.
"They are sending a ship for the journey there and, presumably back, but if you can slip through, it would be nice. I'm going to take a Beacon stone and see if there is anywhere House Leukos would be comfortable with my burying it for a month." They might say 'no' and that would be alright. It was just an option. Rolling his eyes at himself he sighed as he made a realization.
"I can also just bring a knob with me, they'll be finished by then, and we could just step back here whenever you need to go." Torin would have to get used to being able to travel quickly back home from wherever he was. It was a power that seemed almost too great to be a part of his life, even though he was creating it himself.
"Timon is planning another feast for New Year's Day, and with your Whispers around it might actually get eaten this year." Sivan might be able to come, and Aurin, but it would feel somehow more like a celebration with children there to open presents and eat sweets. He'd given Timon a considerable amount of money to spend on the food, decorations and party favors. The apprentice wanted to do it himself and as Torin had little experience, he was a fine idea from his point of view. Thoughts of the feast made his stomach rumble loudly and he grinned, blushing a little.
"You always give me an appetite. Come on, there are meat pies in the larder."
