"If need be, someone could also come by Sweet Remedies and he could possess them there," Hilana nodded to Æros' aunt. "And then carry on the rest of the day. I can pick him up in the evening or so before I go about the rest of the night. When he gets better, he can stay the night, though that may be a bit much for him for a while. But he is a fast learner, I've seen him at it," she smiled at the spirit. All the same, she wasn't about to make plans for him, but perhaps being able to spend time with his family rather than lurking around the shop where she worked, incorporeal and unable to do a whole lot without getting in trouble - Vasilei would not tolerate much in the way of shenanigans - would be a good source of motivation for the recently deceased hybrid.
She smiled when he thanked her. That she could feel a bit of his emotions over that connection was different and interesting, and she inclined her head to him. She wasn't used to that sort of input, but she wondered if that was the way he felt constantly when he was using Mesmer and Semblance nearly around the clock to understand people, and get inside their emotions and heads and hearts. "Of course. We all do what we can. We'll get through this somehow, and figure it out. There has to be something." She, for now, had to set aside her hurt and grief for Khyan and continue on with her trademark energy and enthusiasm, regardless of how she felt. That was what was more or less expected of her, and it was better for her to keep going. If she let herself stop in the quicksand of despair, she was going to sink. Feel the feelings and move on. There was too much to do, too much depending on her, too much riding on Hilana being Hilana to stop. And that was the only thing to do. Keep going.
She could grieve later. It wasn't going to happen right now, and she would just have to compartmentalize until the opportunity came. Not for the first time, she was reminded of the old exaltation. Prices paid and choices made. Though chances were, the prices were still going to be called to collect in good time. For now, she would just have to roll the bones.
