The fact this entity questioned the name of his other half was enough, for if she wasn't even familiar with the existence of them, then that would've indicated she was from a time before them. The thought of her being something that ancient intrigued him, yet at the same time Rickter couldn't shake this wary feeling about her. Something about her didn't settle easy on him, and so far he'd gradually learned more and more as to why that was. Not only did this woman seem to enjoy the game of manipulation, as demonstrated by her earlier moments spent getting dressed, but she reveled in it to a degree that was used quite often; as he would come to determine the longer he lingered.

The entity denied having any such memories of the old world she'd left behind, a pity in the wolf's eyes, as he would've liked to know a bit about what the world was like; specifically, before things went to shit throughout the ages. Nevertheless, it was the question about his mother that allowed Rickter to notice it, the subtle inclinations he sometimes felt rather a foreign whim to his normal behavior. Did he want to originally share much, if any, information on his biological parent prior to her inquiry? He recalled attempting to dodge the topic overall in fact, once he realized how personally guarded he wanted to keep such details. So why? The sudden sense of whimsy in him wasn't normal, which indicated that some outside influence had to play in part somewhere...

And his eyes were narrowed explicitly on the woman before him with questionable speculation. "The kind that comes with fangs." Was his immediate remark, to say the least, his symphony collectively becoming more singular as he watched her. The innate and primal notes within him stirred only briefly, before their hum generated a buzz that didn't quite drown out the other notes, but still overreached them with an instilled intent to block everything out. He was guarded once more, wary of the possibility found within his observations. Even so, curiosity did not leave his side still. Part of him wanted to leave immediately, satisfied to know that he couldn't trust the entity before him.

Yet another part wanted to linger still, which in truth was questionable, since he wasn't sure if it was really him or another whim induced by the woman. Then, of course, she wound up stating her own opinion on the matter. Seeing the woman sneer at him as she quipped about his human heritage now, and how that must have been the greater shame within his bloodline. Admittedly that stirred something then, and that loud monotonous note which drowned out everything grew louder, enough to a point where it howled viciously within his soul. He was only half-human, and half-beast, and yet for whatever reason her words... no her entire demeanor had set something off.

Thus the wolf's stern gaze narrowed before softening, almost to a look of innate pity before he sighed, and rose from his chair to look towards the exit. "Maybe..." He admitted aloud in turn, and yet, it was more for himself than for her. "It's the one thing I've only wanted, though after today..." He told her with a grim look on his face. "We'll keep in touch." The promise was shared with only another tone within the new symphony, a falsetto of feelings that lingered on one thought. Ordinary. There was a sense of yearning as if a desire that once was seemed either buried or discarded. As he walked towards the door Rickter's sight remained fixed, as he denied giving this woman any more opportunity to tug at his emotions. He understood now that this, everything about her actually, was nothing more than a game she liked to play.

And so he would leave, without another word, as the wolf had made up his mind with the precursor of the old world.

Lyra didn't move as Ricky stood, content to simply lay there, watching him with a lingering smile on her lips. She listened to him, hearing the changes as they came one after another. Had he gotten the answers he wanted? What was he thinking? So many questions, all of which amused Lyra to no end.

She wiggled her fingers at him in farewell, saying softly as he reached the door, "Of course we will little one. I have decided it is so."

Like Ricky Lyra would content herself with silence then, and despite the man's sudden silence and swift exist Lyra found herself content. This one was the interesting sort, far too serious for his own good, and perhaps just a bit naïve. The strong, noble sort. The confused sort. The uncertain sort. Just her type, in fact. Still... How had he found her? That question in particular had not been answered, not that Lyra had really been of the mind to find out at the time. One of the others in the group? The man's own connections?

She thought for just a moment before she breathed out, half closing her eyes as a tendril of black smoke flowed out over her lips. Ricky had already left, but only moments before. Lyra flowed between the cracks in the door, tendrils of black winding down and encircling Ricky's shoulders as he made his way down the stairs. The smoke curled along his neck, Lyra condensing slightly to give the sensation of a finger on the man's skin. Then Lyra spoke, her voice soft as if she were whispering into his ear.

"Next time bring the girl."

Then she was gone, the smoke dissipating as if it were never there.

Lyra opened her eyes in the room, slowly standing and stretching. This wouldn't be the last she saw of that man. The question was, what should she do when they met next?
