"I'm so glad!" Arry giggled, "You know I brought you up here to ask you so that, on the off chance you declined my advances, I'd have a nice ledge to jump from!" He patted Finn's calf, and continued before the laughter had fully abated- a few hiccoughs of chortling impeding his speech.
"Oh good... I was starting to get jealous of the lute! I'm relegated to the floor at your feet, whilst the bloody lute gets the advantage of your lap!" He chided, playfully. But the key changed, as did the tenor of what was being said.
"It never occurred to me that you were only helping me because you think I'm handsome..." He amended Finn's wording, for humility's sake, to make the sentiment a reflection of the human's perception of Arry's appearance, rather than making it seem like he was objectively attractive, as Finn himself had suggested. "But, if you were, I'd have been fiercely flattered. You're quite easy on the eyes yourself, as I've blushingly blurted out time and again over the course of our work sessions."
He got up onto his knees and faced Finn, placing his hands on the busker's thighs and looking up into his eyes.
"You're not terrible at this in the least." He reassured, "You're perfectly disarming, in fact. And you came into my life at, perhaps, the perfect time..." He trailed off, and seemed to shake off the overweening sentimentality.
"Well, Arvine Venasyr would need to go on a very private date as not to ruin Arvalyn Val'Cithaeron's mystique, but... I think I'd like you to show me someplace that has meaning for you. I don't much care what we do, as long as it's together. We may be discussing a first date, but we 'ave the advantage of getting to know one another these past few months. That takes some of the pressure off, don't you reckon?" He launched up to place a quick peck on Finn's lips before sitting back down on his heels.
"I don't know. Surprise me!" He suggested, with a wink. "I'm sure whatever you decide will be perfect,
Finn"
