Mino didn’t know what it was, but he would appreciate it if it would quiet down. The whistle had changed to a whine, persistent in his ears. He suspected, that if he had taken a beast form, this would have been so much worse. It only seemed to add to his discomfort that he was the only one that appeared to hear the sound. Sometimes, there weren’t really perks to his lineage. A quick breath sucked in as he shook his head, as if it might dislodge the source of whatever produced the whine from his head. But — it wouldn’t be that easy.
Again, whatever it was caused a great deal of excitement in the mage. Enough that he pressed beyond the tour to the next exhibit. Rational parts of Mino — instinct, mostly — seemed to find this a not good idea. But if the mage were interested as he were in something other than the riveting exhibit they found themself in, it must be something of value. Which was something that would be worth enough to push past that instinctual urge to turn and leave.
But, it wasn’t like Mino was known for making particularly smart choices.
Which was entirely why he followed after Odinson. Step for step, almost. Just a slight hesitation as the whine grew worse. You can help me. A bold assertion this mage made. The rathari’s brows rose, smile on his lips. Interesting, but — “What, exactly, do I get out of this?” Thumb and forefinger pinching together to form a circle, leveled over his heart. Mostly obscured from anyone that would be behind them. “How much is that thing worth, even? I don’t do antyhing for nothing, and I’m not feeling particularly charitable at the moment.”
He approached the case the mage stood before, eyes narrowing. He would say that he was okay as far as appraisals went. It would probably be best to get most of this back to the house and — well. There he was, making plans already. But, that’d kind of been the reason for partaking in this tour in the first place.
