Roam With You
Destyn looked sceptically at Timon as he defended what seemed indefensible to him.
"Maths, though?" He grudgingly nodded. With all of Timon's focus upon his own diction, he might notice Destyn's Common pronunciation, while very strong, was imperfect. There was something in the way he pronounced 'th' sounds that was a bit heavier than for most native-speakers. There was a similar sound in his native tongue, but it wasn't exactly the same, so an untrained ear might hear it as more of a normal 'T' sound, even though it was more linguadental and less linguapalatal.
"If you think that moneys are important to know about, then you can teach me." He consented, a bit reluctantly. "But if it is too boring I will maybe daydream and pay not good attention." He delivered his truth gently, hoping not too offend the child. His disdain for maths wasn't anything personal against Timon, it was just an aversion to boredom.
His eyes darted to Torin as he entered and they quickly widened as he regarded what he was toting.
"Puppy!" Destyn abandoned the tray of fruit in favour of the little lupine, which he quickly began to fuss over- Petting her little head and regarding her with adorning moony eyes.
"So cute!" He lauded, beaming at the happy news that he would be enjoying the company of yet another new friend! A big human, a little human and a little wolf- If only Sivan would join their commune, he'd have been in his idea of paradise. This promised to be a sterling step toward clarifying the future that seemed so murky in his mind for so long.
