Kayleigh was somewhat taken aback by the fact Yeva, invisible as she were, could finally interact with everyone from wherever she resided. Something told the bookworm that it was a place far away, somewhere that wouldn't be easy to reach, let alone look for if she wanted to help the lady find a way back home. Well, as much as home was in the material plane, Kay didn't know where Yeva's actual home was.

Either way, the reactions she observed brought an amused grin to her lips, from Destyn's and Yeva's playful scripture written in the sand. Truthfully, the bookworm found herself rather sleepy now, after having sipped on rum and feeling the alcohol mellowing her mood. Therefore she shifted to realize just how uncomfortable the spot beneath really became, a little perplexed by it when she shot Kynne a suspective look in turn.

What ridiculous tricks was he playing on her now? She could only wonder as she shifted onto her knees, and scooted off that spot to begin uncovering the sand. As far as she he had been aware, the subtle acts of magic were just his way of toying around, though, she wouldn't have put it past Kynne to discreetly use that magic for alternate purposes. She swore up and down if he'd merely played a prank, or perhaps used the sand to harass her, then she'd be the next to throw sand at him.

Though not as jubilant as Yeva did when the sand started to fly around earlier.

Regardless, with her coconut drink laid on the sand next to her, the bookworm scooped up sand by the piles with her hands. Determine to unearth whatever might've been beneath her, if it were anything worth investigating at all. There had been the remark of odds from the Captain, leading Kay to look from where she dug toward him, and following his line of sight to notice a couple of things. First, the new door which an interesting bird flew around, sizzling with sparks as the creature fluttered by quickly, and then the distant rolling clouds that might've suggested a storm brewing.

This was strange because even here, the air usually possessed a level of moisture to indicate if the rain would soon pour. Kayleigh hadn't noticed any such sign but that did not make her an expert on rain or storms either, either way, she resumed unearthing the spot where she previously sat to investigate the cause of her earlier discomfort. As she did she glanced at the door that had been situated behind her prior, pondering what remained on the other side of its threshold if she might walk through.
