54th of Frost, 120th Year
After a consistent amount of snowfall blanketing the city of Kalzasi overnight, the denizens of the city awoke to begin their days, with laborers early on the rise to begin shoveling and clearing streets. Some shops opened a little later than usual due to the amount of snow covering the city, with the delays in time hardly a factor of concern for many who owned a business. Activity seemed to lessen during the colder parts of the year, however, Kalzasi was a city that thrived even in the hardest of conditions. A bit of snowfall here and there usually wasn't enough to deter the locals, particularly when the vast majority of them were of the Avialae descent.
The cold conditions aside, however, the day started almost like a regular for any other. So imagine that in a particular place, at a particular time, a courier strolled his way towards one of the taverns. Removing the hood of his green cloak the weary carrier sighed in relief, glad to finally be out of the cold when he stepped through into the lobby. The business in the establishment hadn't quite picked up yet, save for several stragglers that frequented the place, in hopes of getting a hot meal in their bellies before the day began. Truth be told the courier himself wanted to do the same, feeling the need to refill his emptied stomach after walking about for a couple hours already.
But first there was a specific matter of business at hand, for there was particular individual that was sought out here. Hyoga Yoko. Word of his monster hunting skills had started to spread throughout Kalzasi, especially after his participation in the Living Undead phenomenon last season. Yet the reason this particular individual was sought by the courier wasn't because of local wildlife, no, the monsters he would be requested to slay were akin to something different entirely. But first, the letter in which the man would have to read first. Looking for the alleged Kathar with dark blue wings, the courier parted the lengths of his bangs aside, approaching the bar in hopes that he might request information. "Excuse me," the blonde requested from the bartender present, "I've been told that a Hyoga Yoko frequents this establishment?"
Right on queue the bartender widened his eyes, nodding immediately to the inquiry as he looked down the bar, right in direction to the man himself as he enjoyed himself. Whether it was food or drink, the courier would soon interrupt this, approaching with a clearing of his throat as he pulled his parcel up from his side. "I've been looking everywhere for you sir," the courier greeted him in turn as he sorted through the many parchments in his satchel, "got a letter for you from someone here in Kalzasi. A woman, she gave no name though, just the instruction to deliver this to you." In finishing the elaboration he finally fished out a single folded parchment, handing it over to Hyoga with a generous smile in turn. "Well, that's pretty much everything. Have a good day!" With a courteous bow to the Kathar he twisted to move away, walking back towards the part of the bar where the bartender remained, and then taking a seat atop a stool to request that hot meal he desired afterward.
In unfolding the parchment, Hyoga would find this as the content's of the note:
Hyoga,
Word on the street is you come in search of something here in Kalzasi, it just so happens that I've been doing the same as well. I think you and I can help each other out actually, a favor for a favor if you will, but before that I would like to see what you're capable of. I've a friend who knows of a place called the Fighter's Pit, somewhere down in the Low-City of Kalzasi. Put on a good show for me there, and then I'll consider meeting with you in person.
I look forward to the possibility of a partnership between us.

Here you are Hyoga, your first plot prompt of the season! You can run with the thread from here, as your first obstacle is to take on at least two opponents at the Fighter's Pit. You're welcome to generate your own NPC's to fight in this prompt, and when you've finished the challenge; please nudge me via pm or dm on Discord! (Also do so if you feel the need to ask any questions!) |

☵ What was thought to be just another ordinary day in his favorite tavern would turn out to be something more. The unsuspecting Kathar was minding his business unaware that the courier was here for him. He noticed when the man came in but didn't pay him any mind, not until he heard his name being mentioned that is.
Without looking the Kathar tensed a bit, looking from his peripheral at the messenger. When he approached Hyoga looked to him, then to the letter. Once in his hands, he read the note and rubbed the back of his head. "Who the hell could this be? More importantly how the fuck did they know I was looking for something in the city?!" he mused, a sense of dread, paranoia, and excitement filling him.
Wasting no time he paid the barkeep for his drink and left the building, taking flight and making his way to Low-City, to find this Fighter's Pit. He wasn't even sure where to look for the place, and with a heavy sigh, decided to ask the locals. With their help, he was able to find his way to the place, not that one could miss, well no one except him.
Once there he could hear the cheer of a crowd, getting louder and louder until he was standing in an underground fighting arena. Looking around a devilish grin filled her face, feeling herself become excited. "Amazing, so many willing participants I can fight against." he purred, licking his lips at the thought of what he'd do to each one of his opponents.
There was a match already in progress, but as he watched it was a rather dull and underwhelming performance. "That's it? No blood, no broken bones, no grueling finishing move? This isn't a fight it's an affront to fighting itself." he scoffed glaring at the two combatants as he voiced her concerns. He was rather upset and more so anxious to show these fools what a real fight was like, as it seemed they knew nothing of the sort.
A scowl of utter disappointment flooded Hyoga's face, disgusted at the poor display of fighters. He would make sure everyone here would know what a true fighter was, even for his level. He noticed that all the participants were novices of varying degrees, which allowed him to ascertain that this was merely a barbaric showing for degenerates. Though disgusted, he was slightly amused, these brutes putting on a show as if they were fighting for some crude championship belt title. ☵

Hyoga would arrive to find The Fighter's Pits as described, a large underground burrow meant to house cage fights between contestants. Though at the surface it was quite apparent to see, that the crowds gathered today were nothing short of dismal. Which even the Kathar warrior himself quickly started to see the reason why, as the fighters below scrapped with naught but their fists in a rather controlled environment. Those standing near Hyoga would only laugh a little, barely amused by the display as hardly any blood was spilled. When the pair finished their bout the spectators above the arena, at least the small amount that was there, practically booed before disbanding from the scene entirely with disappointment. The two fighters looked up at the scattering crowd, their eyes briefly on Hyoga as well, before they grudgingly walked to leave the pit itself.
"Well, this is lookin' worse every day..." Muttered a bronze-skinned human with angular eyes, with a scar prevalent across the bridge of his nose, and his hair knotted into a bun as he stood with arms crossed. His attire was nothing fancy of the sort, just furs and pelts woven into a jacket and pants to keep the cold at bay. Anybody who used to be a regular here, would've known right away who this person was, but it was rather obvious that Hyoga wouldn't have heard of his reputation.
"Helwui!" Another voice boomed out as a sizeable man, burly and rigid, approached with the same sort of attire covering his skin. Though his hair was much longer, and quite unkempt in comparison to the proprietor he had addressed. "There ain't no more fighters in the pits now, at this rate we're never gonna make a living."
"I'm well aware Glinan..." Helwui sighed with his arms still crossed, a look of utter dismay cast down to the empty pits below them. "Damn them all. I suppose it was only a matter of time."
"Maybe we should just call it quits here, huh? What's wrong with going back to the Midden anyways?" Glinan remarked with a glum tone in his voice, a hand brought up to his beard to stroke his rugged beard. Helwui kicked a bit of snow as chunks scattered into the pit below, a look of utter disgust on his face after he committed such an act.
"That's ancient history! I swore to never go back after I signed up with the Slayer's Keep..." Yet... looking at his situation now, it was clear something had to be done, otherwise he'd find it impossible to turn a profit in this dump. "I should've known the old man had the right idea when he left me to look over the pit." As Helwui expressed this Glinan scowled momentarily, looking aside to realize that Hyoga still stood closeby.
"You here to challenge fighters? Not that there are any left as of now... Though I suppose..." The large man looked down at his fellow companion, nearly bashing him on the shoulder when he reached out to tap the perplexed owner. "Hey, why not have one last bout with this stranger? Fighting oughta clear our heads after all, maybe that'll get you to think about our next move."
Helwui grudgingly looked to Glinan before casting his eyes to Hyoga, briefly rubbing over the tapped shoulder as he appraised the Kathar up and down. "Suppose there's no harm in it. What say you? You here to challenge the last the Fighter's Pit has to offer?"

☵ It was going to be rather difficult to fulfill the sender of that letter request with no able body fighters here in this pit. This was definitely a bust and it was surely pissing Hyo off. Standing atop the balcony overlooking the pit below, a disappointed scowl crept onto his features, upset that there was no one formidable for him to face.
Hyoga looked over the fighters if one could even call them that, who had begun to depart this specific den tonight. They were all underwhelming, to say the least, and it would be quite interesting to see how they faired against someone like him tonight. His eyes scanned about, but as the pit was emptying he was rather over it and decided to leave.
The building was rather dead with the lack of bodies and participants, everyone either leaving from the lack of fighters or how poor the fighters were. Hyoga wasn't worried however, he would find another pit around here seeing as this one was dead. As he was going to leave he noticed two gentlemen standing next to him, one short while the other was rather tall.
They seemed perplexed, though he couldn't blame them, as the sight before him could depress anyone. One of them asks if he was here to challenge a fighter, but he stopped midway, conferring with his friend before turning his attention back to Hyo. He seemed to offer Hyo the opportunity he came for. The man he was supposed to fight against seemed rather capable.
A smirk on his face, Hyo nodded. "Well if its the last you have, I hope its the best you can offer. I hope you don't disappoint." he said, becoming amped up. Finally somethingwas looking up, and Hyo was ready to go. ☵

Helwui looked a bit amused at what the Kathar had to say, while Glinan couldn't help but give a glib smile in return to the statement. Sure they were the only two left within the grounds supposedly, but what did that matter, they were still fine warriors in their own right. Therefore it stood to reason that, knowing this would likely be the last caged match in the arena, both men gave their all when they were down in the ring. "Well alright then," The bigger brutish man retorted with a cross of his arms, "big guy like you outta know how to throw a few good punches."
"Remember the rules Glinan." Helwui reminded him with a shrewd gaze to the larger man, who merely laughed in turn with a brush at the lengthy mane growing from his scalp.
"Yeah yeah, you were always a stickler for those Helwui. I swear you and the old man had way too much in common." He remarked with a light chuckle before looking at Hyoga once more. "Okay. See you in the ring, since I'm your first opponent."
"A brief explanation of the rules," Helwui started in regard to Hyoga, "no killing of course, that's the big one here. No cheap shots either, if you throw a kick at your opponent's balls, then that's a sure-fire way to be removed from the ring." Helwui was quite clear on that bit, hopeful that their final contender wasn't a rebel when it came to the rules. "Poking eyes out ain't nice either, biting..." At that part Helwui began to indiscriminately shrug. "It's not something you wanna do unless you want your teeth knocked really. But that's the gist of it really. Looks like you'll be doing unarmed combat with Glinan first, he's always been the toughest fighter here in the pits."
"Hey Wui! Why don't let him come down here and find out!?" The bigger bastard called from within the pit he'd entered, looking up at the two still with that glib smirk on his face.
"Do me a favor when you go down there, knock him down a few pegs while you're at it. He's been needing a good ass-kicking for a while now." The pit owner remarked with a sagely fold of his arms, a thoughtful glance cast to Hyoga as he nodded toward the entrance into the ring.

Alright buddy, your first match is with Glinan, who is a Rathari Brown Bear, hence his massive size and power. Feel free to self-moderate the caged fight and when you finish, ping me via Discord and we'll get you rolling with the next match. |

☵ He hadn't really been paying attention to much of their conversation, only taking interest in the fact that he was going to be given a fight after all. Hyo was excited, looking at the man he was to be fighting. He was big, even for a human which had Hyo wondering if he was human at all. The guy truly towered over the Kathar a bit and was as solid as a mountain.
Hyo was so eager to jump down into the ring he almost missed hearing the rules of the place. Of course, there were rules, sadly this wasn't a place where death was possible. It seemed easy enough to understand, and Hyo was going to make sure he adhered as much as possible to the rules, his honor was at stake.
With a nod, he floated down into the arena, folding his wings back, as to not allow them to get in the way or worse grabbed. His opponent wasted no time, closing the distance rather quickly, throwing a flurry of punches his way, forcing the Kathar on the defensive and slowly into a corner. He had to get out of this and go on the offensive but Glinan was not letting up. His arms were starting to cave under the assault, but he was watching the patterns of each swing of his fist.
"He lets out four punches before he is left wide open." he pondered. Enduring the heavy-handed attacks, Hyo was waiting for the timing to line up right. Once that fourth strike was delivered, he sprung into action lunging into the man's stomach with his elbow and quickly stepping to the man's right as he swatted Hyo off to the side. He reeled as his body went sliding across the arena floor.
Quickly getting to his feet, He found himself being pelted by the large fighter's blows once again, but this time Hyo was doing his best to give as good as he was getting. His blood was pumping, his adrenaline circulating fervently through his body, and he was excited. He was getting the fight he came looking for and was doing his best to keep pace with Glinan blow for blow.
Things were definitely heating up now, the two combatants clearly excited, punches and kicks flowing as if it were booze or bets if the place was booming with business. It was not easy, to say the least for him, every punch he threw seemed to bounce off the man's body, or do little to affect him. He was definitely a capable brawler, evident by the bruises and welts that formed on the Avialae's body.
He stuck to his game plan though, hit the weak spots when appropriate, and go for the kill move, repeat if need be. The brute of a man he was fight was surely working him over, tossing, slamming, punching, kicking, the works. Despite the abuse, Hyoga endured it, but it was soon evident he was reaching his limit and knew he had to end this fight fast. Given that he has stuck to wielding his spear and using Reaving he never had to use hand to hand combat.
All he could do for the moment however was bide his time, wait for an opening then give it everything he had. Even if he wasn't showing it, he had to be nearing his limit as well, the fight was going on nearly an hour now. He had maybe thirty more minutes left in him, thanks to his father and the rigorous combat training he was subjected to growing up. That training helped in allowing Hyo to last this long in fights.
The brute was coming at him with an assault of punches putting his weight into each one, which sparked an idea in the Avialae. He'd use that to his advantage. With his next punch, he would grab it, only to fall backward, planting his feet into the Glinan's abdomen and using the momentum from his punch and his own body weight to flip him onto his back. Once down he was on top of Glinan, giving him everything he had in the form of punches aimed at his face.
As much as he tried to defend such a vital area, Hyoga wasn't having any of that, forcing his arms away from shielding his face as he pummeled the spot repeatedly till she was satisfied he could defend it. He still had fight in him too, giving Hyoga several rib shots, cause the Avialae to cry out in pain, and using that moment to force Hyo off of him. As both combatants gasped for air, it would be the one more determined to win that got up and finished this bout. Unfortunately for Hyo, it was Glinan who got up first.
Towering over Hyo, he raised his leg up, preparing to stomp his chest into the ground. "You just can't seem to keep from being wide open can you?" he barked, smashing his foot into Glinan's knee, effectively bringing the towering man on to said knee. He was roaring in pain, holding his leg. Fighting to get on his feet Hyo limped over to the injured male.
"We should do this again sometime I had fun." he said as he proceeded to unleash a flurry of punches on Glinan in his moment of weakness. With a roar, Hyo finished with a punch that he put all of his strength into knocking the man to the floor. When it was assessed he was unconscious from the brutal finisher, Hyo was declared the winner.
Not wanting to leave Glinan in such a state, he grabbed the man from under his arms, dragging him to the side of the ring so he could get some treatment. "When you recover, we should do this again, you know how to show a guy a good time." he said patting the unconscious Glinan's shoulder. Floating up with his wings most of the way, Hyo walked up to the promoter, holding her hand out.
"What you think? I hope I didn't hurt your friend too badly, but you did say to knock him down a peg or two." he inquired, taking this precious time to recover as much strength as he could. ☵

Helwui watched diligently at the caged match taking place below, his appraising gaze varying between impressed and perplexed as he watched the two men fight. Hyoga was quite the confident pugilist to be able to withstand Glinan, at least the proprietor could credit him for that as he watched the match. "How is he?" A feminine voice chimed in as she approached Helwui from behind. The pitmaster didn't even bother looking away, his eyes sternly on Hyoga as he noted every move, picking out every faucet of the Kathar's patterns while he stroked at the chin hair on his face.
"You said he looked promising, but I didn't expect him to be so bloody rough." He concluded with a minor look of distaste near the end, specifically when Helwui saw Glinan take that kick at the knee. That would certainly have to be looked at later, once he his own match with the warrior had come to pass anyways. For now though he looked over, eyeing a woman with deep brown hair braided into a ponytail. The only glimpse Hyoga would have caught of her would've been her back, specifically the upper shoulders as her white woolen jacket stood out from his perspective. Yet her voice might've rang familiar, as though he'd heard her speak somewhere before.
"Rough is what we'll need when the time comes. For now, just make sure he's ready no?" Helwui nodded to the statement before she extended a hand, offering a small pouch that clinked a bit before he'd pocketed it. Stepping out of view then Helwui was left alone, just in time for Hyoga's victorious return in fact, as he came out to meet with the pitmaster several minutes later.
"Hmph." Helwui looked down into the pit admittedly a little troubled, mindful Hyoga's ecstatic mood after having enjoyed that bout with the bear. "Might've kicked it into three with that last bit there." He roughly admitted though not before sighing in turn, nearly padding the pocket with his pouch before turning to face the Kathar once more. "I suppose you're ready for your next match? Unless you require a bit of rest first, in which case, I'll see to Glinan while you do. Whenever you're ready I'll be waiting for your challenge within the ring."
With a simple nod Helwui moved to walk past Hyoga, his angled eyes fierce with a determined gaze as he went down below. The pitmaster had seen enough as of now, therefore, he was ready for Hyoga when the Kathar made his decision. Once in the ring again Helwui would stand there, waiting as he removed the overcoat he'd worn on his way down. Only a leather jerkin covered his torso now, his shoulders bare in the cold while leather bands cuffed at his wrists. Where Glinan seemed more the big brutish type in regards to his fighting style, Helwui was more refined and well practiced instead, his pugilistic pose that of two closed fists as he held one out away from him and the other one close. The footing was everything for the man, and it became immediately clear that Helwui was not going to be an easy challenge for Hyoga.

Alright! Helwui is your final contender! He is a master of unarmed combat, and will utilize a lot of speed/acrobatic maneuvers. Have fun! |

He was still running off of the adrenaline of the last fight, using this time to stretch out the kinks in his muscles. His arms hurt more than anything, and he knew this next match would be his toughest. He had never had to fight hand to hand, even when he was training under his father growing up.
He never noticed when the other male entered the ring, as he was to be Hyo's next opponent. He looked just as fierce as his father, but this man exuded a different quality to him. Looking down Hyo felt like he was staring at a tiger, ready to pounce on its prey and tear it to shreds. This man would be no pushover, and Hyo didn't see a way he could win this.
That being said, Hyo was no coward, and he would face Helwui with all the ferocity he could manage. With a leap from the balcony, Hyo descended upon the man, who gave Hyo a "come at me" gesture, and the Kathar gladly obliged, swooping down to throw a punch aimed at Helwui. What the Kathar hadn't realized was just how skilled Helwui was, who easily deflected his blow and landed a solid punch into Hyo's jaw.
The atmosphere shifted drastically as Hyo skidded across the arena floor, using his wings to rebalance himself, his eyes trained on Helwui. In the silence of his shock, realized that he was in over his head, but the warrior in him wanted to see this through as he was getting pumped up. For the first time in a very long time, Helwui was the one who was going to actually give Hyo the one thing he was looking for.......a worthy challenge.
"That's one hell of a right hook." he hissed, checking to make sure his jaw was still attached to his face. Helwui smirked and invited Hyo to come at him once again, which the Kathar did. His response was fierce, a flurry of punches and kicks being sent to Helwui. The Kathar was coming down on him with everything he had......but it wasn't enough.
Helwui was slapping his blows away as if swatting a fly from the air. A fist came from his left and collided with Hyo ribcage, effectively knocking the wind from him, watching Helwui come to pelt his abdomen with well place punches. The final hit came to his chest, sending Hyo flying across the arena once again. To make matters worst, Hyo could tell Helwui wasn't even going all out on him, simply toying with him.
Getting back to his feet, Hyo was met by Helwui's foot, his boot planting itself into his gut, bringing Hyo back down to his knees. The professional fighter took Hyo by the head and proceeded to toss him across the floor like a ragdoll. Hyo was reeling from the assault Helwui unleashed on him as if the man was making a point that Hyo's victory against Glinan was nothing more than a fluke at best. Getting to his feet he was pressed to fight back, but no matter what he did Helwui countered him effortlessly.
Blocking punch after punch Helwui found his chance within Hyo's attack pattern and took it. Lunging forward through the Kathar's attack, coming to uppercut Hyo, putting Hyo in a daze. Continuing his assault, Helwui swept Hyoga's feet from up under him, pinning the larger Avialae on his back and pelting his face with punches. Seeing that Hyo wasn't unconscious, Helwui stood and began to walk away.
It was obvious the difference in their skill was leagues apart, but even still, Helwui had to give the Kathar credit. Not many could last as long as Hyo did, but eventually, even his blessed genetics couldn't save him. Helwui had seen enough and was making his way out of the arena, but something stirred behind him that caught his attention. Looking back he could see the Kathar standing there. He was amazed the boy could even do that after what he was just subjected to.
Sighing Helwui got into a fighting stance, inviting Hyoga to come at him, but something was off. Hyo was not like he was before, no his stance and how he was carrying himself was different, and it caused Helwui to be on guard. With a roar Hyo took to the air, charging at the man, who dodged the first pass, turning to intercept the next, but Hyoga was right there, using his wings to quickly circle the man, a large hand reaching out to grip Helwui by his face.
The pugilist quickly deflected the hand, only to be swatted by Hyoga's wing. it caught him by surprise if only by a little, but it was enough to make him reconsider his approach to taking down the Kathar. Hyo was soaring toward him, the looks of a rabid animal in his eyes, as Helwui could now see Hyoga wasn't fighting but reacting, his body was reacting off of pure adrenaline.

The sigh was one of exhasperation for Helwui as he looked to Hyoga, a smidge of impression left within gaze as he admittedly respected the Kathar. The man possessed promising skill and an even potentially amazing strength, one that could be harnessed if given the proper time and temperament to refine. Plus even after the light flurry of firm attacks that were made, Hyoga still managed to stand on his own after the initial shock of the combo. The pitmaster gently chuffed with a tilt of his head, looking prominently fierce at Hyoga when she altered his stance. Right arm out with a open clutched hand, left arm tucked closer in with a firmly held fist aimed straight ahead. With another bend of his knees Helwui kept his toes pointed away, elevating his elbows slightly to complete the transition into this new stance. Having mastered a particularly styled unarmed combat, he'd stood with the precision of experience as he awaited the next assault to come.
Yet he had not prepared for this.
Hyoga had noticeably altered his composure entirely before the pitmaster, his stance an aversion to the regular display he projected before. Helwui's eyebrows furrowed intensely at this, before raising once more at the rate of speed Hyoga flung at him. The pitmaster pulled into a direction to elude the Kathar, the ferocity in his tone enough to stir a bit of astonishment into Helwui when he reacted. "Is that even possible!?" Such a nimble use of his wings allowed Hyoga to pull a reversal, trailing around to flank at Helwui from the backside, as the pitmaster himself turned to face the opponent head-on. He'd seen this before, this innate spirit burning within the Kathar, driving him to face an enemy he's had trouble with taking down.
A hand lashed out to try and grasp at his face, only for the human to swivel his left arm upward and sweep it out. The deflection of the grasp, however, gave Hyoga that moment to batter him with a wing. Helwui grunted as he staggered off his feet for a moment, landing into a roll on his back as he quickly regained his footing, just in time for the moment that Hyoga charged like a soaring bull toward the pitmaster. Helwui looked almost terrified for a moment, before his eyes narrowed with the look of a tiger, driven to pounce on the monster closing in on him. The pitmaster lunged but with a twist in his form, spiraling just out of Hyoga's furious strike before craning to slam a knee hard into the left-side base of the Kathar's neck. The force of impact generated such pressure that the Kathar immediately blacked out, with the two warriors falling from midair as the pitmaster himself pivoted to land into a kneel. Finally. He breathed outward as though it were a shudder, the terror within him venerated as he slowly rose to turn.
Hyoga had crashed landed onto his back, knocked out cold from the precise strike he'd taken. "Well..." He finally muttered as he pulled out a rolled cigarette from the inner pocket of his jacket, manifesting a tiny flame over the tip of his thumb as he lit the tip with a puff. "I sure hope you're happy now. Hannah." Just as he exhaled smoke out his mouth the air near Hyoga stirred, a rippling sound heard in the space above him as the woman from before showed herself earlier.
"I quite am, thank you for your service Helwui." The brunette replied casually with a big smirk on her face, eyeing the sleeping Hyoga before her with a hand resting at her hip.
"Now... If I may. I'm going to close up the pits now."
"See you in the Midden?" She inquired over her shoulder to him, getting only a ridiculed scoff from the man as he turned to approach his other partner Glinan. The brunette returned her focus back to the Kathar, a thoughtful gaze made as she gently bit her nails out of habit. "This should be interesting."
As Hyoga would come to he would find that while he had a very stiff neck, he was comfortably found on a large-sized bed in what appeared to be a rented room. The High Hopes Tavern. One could easily determine their location for themselves if they just looked out the window. In rising out of the lightly induced coma he'd fallen under, Hyoga found that another waited for him to awaken as well. Hannah sat within a chair from across the bed frame, one knee resting underneath the other as she leaned back with an arm over the chair. "About time you woke up."
Judging by how dark it had gotten outside, Hyoga had lost the rest of his afternoon that day. And now he was alone in the room with a stranger, someone he'd only briefly encountered in the past, yet somehow seemingly connected to more than just the wolf Hyoga knew. "I take it you liked the note I left for you, hm?" The brunette then smirked at him with a trill in her tone, a faint sense of mirth residing in her throat as she allowed the Kathar to gain his bearings.

Coming to, Hyo found himself in a room, how he got there he would never know, but the last thing he remembered was the fight, looking out the window to see he had been out for some time. He knew he had lost and that hit him hard, not as hard as losing his family, but just as heavy.
A voice came to his ears, noting that they had been waiting on his rise from his slumber. Looking to the source of the voice, he was surprised by the face he saw. It was the girl that came with that wolf when Fawn was kidnapped. They didn't speak all too much since then, but he remembered her face well.
What was she doing here? Was she the one that brought him here? More importantly, how did she know where he was. He happened to look at her as she spoke about the letter. So it was her, she was the one that messaged him. It also meant she had been watching him for some time. With a sigh and a smirk, he turned his attention back to the window and outside it.
"Yeah, I found it to be quite the surprise." he began, his eyes seeming to be burning with a fire he had never seen in his own reflection before. Where it would shock most men, Hyo however liked it, smiling as he ran his hands through his hair, wincing from the pain in his neck and soreness of his body.
"I have to thank you however, as you gave me something, well one thing I have been searching for since coming to this city." his tone was almost amorous when he said this, turning his gaze to the woman. "You have given me a taste of a worthy challenge, and I want more."
There was a hint of a lingering budding bloodlust in his words, his hands gripping at his sides as he shuddered with anticipation, yet yelping from the pain afterward. "So what happens now.......Hannah was it? Where do we go from here? It's obvious from your note that you're seeking someone just as I am, so what happens next?"
