Details Full Name: Eitan Schande Angevin Player: Antinoös/Hekatos Race: Human/Dratori Sex: Male Age: 27 Height: 6'2" Weight: 183 lbs
Birthdate: 5th of Cinderfall (5 Ash 95) Birthplace: The West End of Zaichaer
Profession: Admiral of the Zaichaer Air Defense Corps; High Sentinel of the Order of Reconciliation; Sentinel of Zaicher Housing: White Knight Hall
Titles: Admiral; High Sentinel; Sentinel Factions: Zaichaer Air Defense Corps; Order of Reconciliation Partners: Lucrece (née Esterházy) Angevin, wife; Stefan Dornkirk, brother-in-law and co-leader of airborne colony; Dienerin, valet Issue: Brenner Ehre (70 Ash 122); Hans Reiner (1 Glade 124)
Appearance
Eitan stands tall and fit, dark of eye and hair. If his features are too fine, one might chalk it up either to his good breeding or his bad. In his youth, his father had his ears cropped like a prize dog's so he could pass for pure human, but only a surgeon paying close attention or someone looking at him just so with Semblance would notice. His natural curls are kept slicked back with military precision, and if his complexion is darker than his family's, it comes from his mother. As such, he is careful to always wear protection when walking the deck lest he grow too much darker and not be recognizable as an Angevin at all.
Personality
The mongrel son of Admiral Angevin might be called a zealot. To earn his father's love, he has eschewed everything of his mother race except that which has proven useful to the State. He was a mistake, then a joke, and so he takes himself too seriously and is a true believer in all that Zaichaer and New Atheism represent. The military was like a father to him and the Order of Reconciliation a mother.
As an XO, he is exacting but no more exacting than he is of himself. The world is dark and full of terrors; they must all be weapons, shields, and tools of the State. He takes no joy in cruelty but might be considered cruel by some perspectives. One thing he did inherit was a Dratori temper, which he keeps in check sometimes with white-knuckled fear. Had his mother raised him, he might have been given tools; alas, she did not and he has not. If he is secretive about anything, it is how he can hear the nature spirits speak and the occasional bouts of depression that linger from his magical initiation.
History The House of Angevin was one of the houses royal of the kingdom from whence came Zaichaer. While an Angevin hasn't been Grand Marshal in a couple of generations, they remain in the upper echelons of the military and, thus, society. Admiral Leir Angevin's eldest children were already begetting children when a peccadillo with a shielded Dratori woman led to a pregnancy. Rather than let it become a mark of shame for rivals to exploit, he took the boy in and raised him — at arm's length — in such a manner as to prove that Zaichaer's way could raise up anyone. In his pride, he also assumed that the strength of his blood would win out over a lesser creature's.
The youngest of seven siblings, Eitan grew up excelling in sports, academics, and any challenge placed before him. He had everything to prove. His father also pushed him to pursue his magical talents under the watchful eye and doctrine of the Order of Reconciliation. At thirteen, he was initiated in Negation in order to shield illicit magic-users within the dominion of the State. Unfortunately, while he easily survived the threshold sickness, he still suffers from depressive episodes, and it seemed to unlock the Dratori temper.
Since then, he has been licensed to practice Negation in service to the Military and the State. Eitan enlisted in the Zaichaer Air Defence Corps directly out of the Battle Academy, at the age of seventeen. He has been moving up the ranks ever since, and currently serves as second-in-command on the Noble Gambit, an Excelsior-class airship. This recent elevation is due in equal measure to his hard work, his state-sanctioned talents, and his father's name. Having a full-time Warden to maintain its shields allows the ship to fly faster without heavy armor, and so it strikes at objectives with speed.
With name, skill, and placement, his prospects for advancement seem golden.

Per Paragon:
Aura Glass Monocle - Most likely only capable of discerning things up to the Journeyman level of magic and information.
Aura Glass Spyglass - Same specifications as the monocle.
A silver-bladed dagger that is edged with the black and electric blue gemstone of abjinurium. It was presented to Eitan upon his completion of Reconciliator Training. The handle of the dagger is keyed specifically to Eitan’s aether signature and thus its abilities can only be unleashed by Eitan. The handle has three pictograph runes inscribed upon it. The dagger’s abilities can be activated with a simple press of the thumb to one of the runes. The dagger is reinforced with steel qualities and can stand up to some of the finest mundane blades around. It is imbued with the following properties:
Provided the dagger is not damaged, charges expended return at the rate of 1 charge every 4 hours.
Abjure (1 Charge) - By pressing the first rune on the handle, the dagger will release a pulse of energy drawn from the abjinurium edge. This pulse will nullify the effects of (1) Apprentice or lower-level magic that is not actively being channeled. The effect is completely extinguished. Magic that is actively being channeled by a mage or an artifact is simply suppressed for up to (1) minute before returning to normalcy. This ability can only affect (1) magical effect at a time. Multiple effects require multiple uses of Abjure.
Shield (2 Charges) - By pressing the second rune on the handle, the properties of the abjinurium edge will be projected into a dome that extends 10 ft. in diameter, centered on the dagger. Magic up to the Apprentice level of mastery cannot cross the threshold of the barrier. Magic within the barrier and that which does not come into contact with the barrier functions normally.
Disjunction (3 Charges) - By pressing the third rune on the handle, the properties of the abjinurium edge can be injected into an individual who is stabbed with the dagger. This will result in a disruption of the channeling of aether within an individual up to the level of Journeyman level magic. The individual will find themselves unable to channel magic at Journeyman or below. Higher levels of mastery are unaffected. This status lasts for (8) hours.
Housing
Eitan's primary residence is White Knight Hall (see below), but also has a spartan 400 square foot suite of rooms at his father's estate of Angevin House. He is also afforded modest accommodations at the Onneifer Airfield barracks, and has his berth on the Noble Gambit.

Re: Eitan Angevin

by Eitan Angevin
In accordance with his duties as a Watcher of Purity for the Order of Reconciliation, Eitan Angevin arrested Gregory Fverard for slavery and harboring more than a dozen Lysanrin, which may well have been for the purposes of magic and sedition as he was a retired member of the College of Minders. As the manor house and title were acquired via marriage and he has no legal heirs, the Order assumed ownership and, in order to be rid of it, allowed Watcher Angevin to purchase it at a discount.
As Eitan has two elder siblings with matrilineal marriages, and one likely to be married soon, he saw this as an opportunity to go out on a limb and secure something for himself and whatever legacy he might build for a wife (human, of course) and children (mostly human, of course). And so he went into debt in order to pay for something far out of his league currently, hoping that he would rise in the ranks of the Order of Reconciliation and the Air Defense Corps such that he could at least make the mortgage until such time as his father died and whatever inheritance he received could pay off the remaining balance.
House Fverard
The last scion of House Fverard of any note married a Minder named Gregory, who survived her without any issue and then embarrassed himself and her family name by actions unbecoming a citizen of Zaichaer.
House Angevin
While Eitan Angevin was recognized and legitimized by his father, there are three sisters ahead of him, two of which, at least, will have Angevin heirs so it is unlikely he will inherit the Angevin estate. Nobility is a precarious thing in contemporary Zaichaeri society. While his ancestors parlayed their former royalty into becoming a part of the modern oligarchy, it is unlikely that they will make the Grand Marshal's position a hereditary office. For those who care about bloodlines, he will prove a cadet branch to a greater tree unless he or some descendant of his proves to be greater than their predecessors and advance the lineage.
Hail Zaichaer! Zaichaer above all!
Rise
On 34 Searing 122, Zaichaer fell. Eitan's wards upon White Knight Hall held, however. On 2 Ash 122, his brother-in-law used the same technological fix to bring his home into the air as he did with the Windworks. Since then, White Knight Hall has been tethered to the Windworks, been a home for the Angevins, the Dornkirks, their households, coven witches, Order members, various soldiers, and whatever else was necessary for the good of Zaichaer. The Kindred witches have made the grounds a feat of agriculture. The Sky Islands hoped to seed the ground once more after the ruins had been retaken.
Logistics
Eitan Angevin renamed the grand townhouse from Fverard House to White Knight Hall when he signed the papers on 1 Ash 121.
