Cobblepot’s Curiosities

One of the last buildings on Willowby Street, this antique and pawn shop sells all manner of 'olden day' goods as curiosities. The building is like any other on it's street on the outside; dark, metal and stone walls holding in poor insulation, but upon entering the building find it much more unique. Wooden floors, tables, and simple lighting gives one a feeling of countryside-meets-zaichaer. The shop is small and rather disorganized, with objects in no particular order or organization placed upon tables whereever they might fit. Some might find it annoying, but the shops owner Cecil simply states that organizing items by category is beyond his interests. And time.

Though the man has all the time in the world. Not many enter his shop, and those who do are often met with a sour attitude until they purchase something. Once they travel to the back of the store where the checkout counter is, customers will find Cecil bent over a set of wood carving tools. The desk is littered with shavings of his carvings and he makes no move to clean it even as customers approach with items to purchase. A set of stairs is positioned perhaps poorly in the center of the room. Spiraling upwards and leading to his living quarters, the stairs creak and tremble as if they'd break. Cecil isn't one to yell at those attempting to go upstairs, as once they do will find a fiercely locked door with a 'Get Out' sign hung from the center.

But all of these off-putting things are outweighed by the simple fact that he runs one of the only antique shops within any normal travelling distance for the middle class of Zaichaer. So, by necessity alone, they shop and sell at his store for holiday gifts and strange curiosities.

"Owner"

A dwarven man with a tight lip and a tighter wallet, Cecil lives and works in the same building. Never married by choice, the grump of a business owner prefers trickets and gold to romance or friendship. He started his business here just twenty years ago. Prior to that, he hadn't even lived in Zaichaer. Though no one knows where he originated from. By sunrise, he opens his shop by turning on a single light inside his shop next to his desk. Come sundown his shop is closed and he is upstairs getting back to his life of solitude.

There are rumors that with the right key wording or bribe, Cecil will sell and buy magic items normally banned from Zaichaer. Though, no one person has any personal experience with that. At least they haven't come forward if they had.
