The Glade air nipped at Hyo's face as he waited for his aunt to arrive, her note seeming to be very urgent. He was rather curious as to why she wanted to meet with him, but he didn't question it and came to the estate anyway. He nervous, but he excited to see her again as she was among the very few who didn't judge him or scorn him for his wings.

As if signaling her arrival, a gust of wind blew past his ear and forced his head to turn in her direction. Her stride into view was nothing short of regal, she looked like a queen entering her court, carrying herself with irreproachable dignity and grace. The leaves blown from the trees glittered around her as she approached and Hyoga was truly breathless at the site.

"My apologies. I hope I didn't keep you waiting long." she called to him, waving with a polite smile on her face. Hansui was trailing behind her at a respectable distance, carrying a long case in his arms "No need to apologize, I haven't been waiting too long, though I am curious as to why we had to meet." he inquired, pulling the collar of his tunic closer to himself as the wind blew by.

She smiled as she came to sit under a large tree, Hansui trailing behind her. "Today I come bearing insight on your parents, as I am sure there are things you wish to know." she said, gesturing for Hyoga to come and sit next to her.

He was even more curious now as a list of things ran through his mind as to what she could possibly tell him of his parents. "I've always wanted to know who my parents were as people." he noted, a look of curiosity on my face, one she kindly nudged as the birds chirped in the distance.

For a brief moment, Yumeko didn't say a word, more so she simply closed her eyes and hummed a bit, a melody she put together alongside the chirping of birds. "Your mother, my sister, along with myself were married to your father and his brother as a way of unifying our two clans." she began, never opening her eyes yet Hyoga could feel that she was peering into him with her words.

"Your father and his brother were Avialae, but of two different lifestyles, as your father was born Kathar where your uncle was Synnekar." she continued though that seemed to confuse Hyoga. "How so, I didn't think that was possible." he inquired, scratching his head.

She giggled at his confusion, but looking at him she continued. "They shared the same mother but different fathers. In any case, the two of them were skilled combatants." she continued, brushing stray hairs from her face. "As I feel as though I am rambling, is there anything you wish to know?" her eyes looking to her nephew as he mulled over his thoughts.

"Tell me about them, who they were as people, I want to know all you have to know." he asked, eyes wide and full of anticipation. She couldn't refuse him on that request, it was the least she owed to him.

"Your father, Kazuyo, was a fierce warrior. Of all the Kathar I have come to know, he was by far the bravest, never showing any signs of fear. He the embodiment of a peerless warrior. He was never really good at showing his emotions, old scars from his upbringing I assume. But he was honest, and always knew how to speak his mind no matter what.

Despite this, however, he was cold as ice, a complete contrast to his brother. Kazuyo was never good with his emotions, I believe that being from the indoctrination of the Imperium. I take it when you were born it was hard for him to know how to handle you, as most Kathar were never able to raise their child, especially if the child was male.

Your father despite his detached nature was a man I truly admired, both as a person and as a warrior. There was no one else I would trust my sister's life to."
she spoke with a calm and almost reminiscent tone. "In the letters I would get from your mother, she would say how he was never able to express his love, but that she knew deep down that he loved both you and her greatly." she smiled at that thought.

Another breeze blew by as the silence overtook them before Yumeko continued "Your mother on the other hand was a force of nature. No matter who it was they ended up loving her, she was just that type of woman. You either loved her or hated her, and if was the later you didn't hate her for long. She was the perfect balance to your father. Where he was as cold as ice, she was as warm as the sun.

She was like that to everyone though, a sun radiating her warmth on anyone who came to know her. She was ambitious growing up and was more so a talented mage. Her skill in Elementalism was unparalleled within the family, so much so it caught the attention of the greater houses of Kalzasi."
she said as she found tears flowing from Hyo's eyes.

She went to wipe them but he declined her gesture. "I know it's not much, but at least you will have some semblance of who they were before you came into the picture" she comforted, a look of motherly concern in her eyes.

"Its ok, I at least got some answers. They weren't the most expressive parents, but I at least knew they loved me. It helps so thank you." he replied, wiping the tears from his face. "So tell me nephew, what are your plans of now? Do you plan on staying in the city?" Hyoga nodded to her inquiry as he stood, the wind whistling past his wings.

"My plan is simple. I will avenge my family by finding and killing those responsible for their deaths. I also wish to make a name for myself as a warrior here. Though given my heritage that may be hard to do." he said with a stretch of his wings and arms.

Yumeko chuckled as she got on her feet, motioning for Hansui to come to her. Opening the case in his hands she retrieved the contents within. In her hands, she held a weapon, a beautiful weapon no doubt. Hyo watched as the gold of the inlay designs and the silver of the steel glistened in the sunlight. it was beautiful in his eyes, as she came to present it to him.

"This belonged to my husband, your uncle. He said it was passed down in their family through the generations. He also told me he regretted not being able to give it to your father before he left to live outside of the City with my sister. I feel it's only right that you wield it." she noted, coming to place it in Hyoga's hands.

It sent a weird feeling through his body holding it. It was like he was holding a piece of his father, his family with it. He found himself fighting back tears, but these tears were ones of joy. He accepted the family heirloom twirling the weapon around to get a feel of it. "I don't know what to say." he said as he lifted up to the sunlight peeking through the tree branches.

"This is a welcoming gift into the family.” she said with a smirk. As much as he wanted to keep it he couldn't, but she pressed it back into his chest. "No no, that is for you besides, it will only collect dust where it is now." she said with a sigh and smile.

"I am not worthy of this honor, but I will do my best to uphold the mantle of wielding this magnificent weapon. I won't let you or this legacy down." he said, tears flowing as he held the spear close to him. Yumeko came to embrace him and the two shared a moment. One that was filled with many emotions and many other things as well.

"Come, if you plan on seeking out revenge and make a name for yourself, we will have to get started now." she chuckled, ushering him towards the house, the wind escorting them both.
