The doctor and nurses convened with one another in private for a moment, while Telion sat on the edge of a bed within the palace infirmary with her gaze averted. An exasperated sigh left her lips as she looked out the window, her eyes narrowed from the light filtering through as she folded her hands together. She did not wish to be here for the reason that she was, for she was a healer and should be doing just that... if not attempting to train as Rickter did. Inherently he'd grown significantly over the span of two seasons, and each time she saw him he somehow looked stronger than before. How he did it she had no idea but in some ways, she felt that she had started to fall behind in regards to him. How on Ransera was she supposed to keep up?

"Miss Telion," one of the nurses addressed her quietly as she approached, "have you been experiencing these episodes often?" The bard turned her head to look up at the lady, a smile provided to the white-robed nurse before she shook her head gently.

"Not exactly? It's only recently started to happen, the first exhaustive episode being last week... I think?" The bard tilted her head back thoughtfully if not with confusion, the uncertainty in her tone led the nurse to chuckle as she scribbled on a couple of parchments located on the table.

"Okay, no problem, how frequent have they been occurring?" The bard's eyes widened as she looked a little nervously to the lady, her legs then brought up to be tucked underneath her as she rested back against the head frame of the bed.

"Um... Not very frequent? They come and go when I'm practicing magic mostly, its almost as though something feels off everytime I try." Magic and healing. The two things she probably had to be really good at, yet, couldn't improve on without lack of feeling weary all the time. Not weary as in worn out and exhausted, but woozy and on the verge of fainting no less. There had been a couple instances when she'd experienced loss of focus in her time in the infirmary, but until today she had never experienced a fainting spell up til now. What's worse the doctor had informed the nurse he still talked with to send word, indicating that someone who she definitely didn't want to hear about this... would definitely come running the moment he heard.

"Just with magic though?" The nurse inquired with a tilt of her head, and waited on Telion to elaborate on the question further.

"Well, mostly yes." She admitted plainly with a bit of a somber expression, her eyes averted as she started to twiddle her thumbs anxiously. "There's time where general labor wears me out quicker. I've never passed out from overexertion though, so I don't know what ailment could cause this. I'm sorry for the trouble though..."

"It's fine miss Telion, we're just glad you seem fine." The nurse assured her with a gentle hand squeezing her shoulder, the bard only looked up to her though as if things weren't fine. Which to her they weren't. Here she was in bed because of a syncopy episode from practicing magic, while her friends were gradually getting stronger in their own time together. Rickter who was probably out in the gardens now would undoubtedly catch wind of this, and she would've preferred that didn't happen given how he'd react. She didn't want him fawning over her tirelessly because of one simple accident, and yet she also struggled with wanting to keep up with him as well. Her expression grew conflicted then as the nurse decided to give her space, before she returned to the doctors side to relay the information that she'd been given.

This sucked. It wasn't often Telion felt that way but that was how she felt, and truth be told, she would've rather been out and about than in bed waiting to discern what ailed her.

Normally, Talon would have toughed it out.

Normally, Talon would have simply meditated, flown through the high mountains and enjoyed the breeze flowing over the feathers of his wings.

Today was not a normal day. He rubbed at his forehead with a pained expression as he worked to think past the hazy fog that was clouding his thoughts. His mind felt as though it were constantly being inundated with a cacophony of voices without end. It was all that he could do not to curl up on his bed and just bury himself under pillows. That would not have solved the problem, but it was what Talon felt like he wanted to do. He did not know how other gods dealt with it. What was he missing? Undoubtedly there was some way to exist without having a constant headache eating away at his mental reserves! He just needed to figure out what that was.

For the moment though, he immediate focus was dealing with the pain that was his pounding head. That lead him to the arms of the palace infirmary. It was a place he had visited frequently enough. Whether that was because he was being patched up after one of his latest excursions alongside Sky Guards or his companions into the Warrens or another reason, Talon was no stranger to the ministrations of the healers who worked there. He turned down the wing of the palace that held the infirmary. When he reached the doorway, he stepped through, walking up to the nearest attendant that he could find.

Excuse me?” The nurse looked up from what she was tending to. Immediately she was on her feet.

“Prince Talon!” Several heads turned. Talon tried not to wince. The nurse immediately zeroed in on the fact that he looked unwell. Her brow furrowed in concern. Coming around from her desk, she extended hands to him, ushering him over to one of the nearby bed. “My goodness, my prince, you look unwell. What is wrong?”

Talon allowed himself to be maneuvered over to a nearby sofa. He gave a pained smile.

It is nothing too terrible.” Her skeptical look almost made him laugh. The last time that Talon had been in the infirmary, he’d been a poisoned mess who’d nearly been murdered to death in his brother’s tavern. He did his best to give her a reassuring look. “Truly. I just have a bit of a headache that will not go away.

The nurse came to stand in front of him. She extended her hands as though to cup his face gently, flexing her fingers and giving him a quizzical look as if to ask for his permission. He gave a nod of his head. The woman turned his head slightly, running her fingers over his skull, gently palpating as she performed her inspection. She raised a finger in front of his eyes, prompting him to follow her movements. After her inspection she nodded.

“Have you had any extensive use of Semblance, Your Highness?” Talon shook his head.

No, ma’am. Not for several days.” She nodded.

“And your other disciplines?” Talon shook his head. He had been confined to the palace for quite some time after the events of the past season. His parents' anger had subsided but he was still paying his penance for his recklessness. The medical staff of the palace were kept informed of the various disciplines of magic that each member of the family practiced. They had dealt with various episodes of overstepping across the years whether it was him, his brother, his mother or any of his siblings. With a nod, the nurse stepped back.

“Give me just a few moments and I shall have something for you.” Talon nodded his thanks then let himself fall back into the sofa. He brought both of his hands up to rub at his face when he heard a shifting nearby. Looking up he saw none other than Telion just across from him.

Telion? Are you alright?” Concern colored Talon’s voice. Truth be told, Talon had not had as much time as he would have liked to interact with the woman. He knew her to be kind, fierce and compassionate but beyond the interactions he’d experienced while around Rickter, the two of them had not really interacted much. He knew that she was dearly important to his wolf and thus, Talon would extend his courtesy and respect to her as well.

Of all the people she had expected to come barging through those doors, the one that she had least expected to see had been the very man Rickter swore to protect. Her eyes widened as she pondered for a moment over what brought him here, her observation quickly gauged on the fact Talon seemed to be in some small pain. Whatever discomfort he experienced it stemmed from his own noggin, which led the bard to wonder if there could be something she was able to do. Not that the staff would likely allow her in her state, especially after she clarified that use of magic seemed to be the root cause to her exhaustion. Nevertheless she couldn't help but adjust herself now, her legs tucked closer to the bed's edge as she leaned forward a bit more.

The nurse that received him had been just as surprised as Telion, the apparent look of worry fixed in her eyes as she went from her desk to him. Telion's eyes locked on the prince as she tried to assess his condition from where she sat, her fingers already curled over her lap as she felt her thumbs rub along the indexes thoughtfully. Talon seemed able to dismiss any rising concerns but that didn't mean people weren't without worry, even Telion who was there when events took place in the Warrens felt her own concerns rise at the moment. A lingering headache was it? She did not know enough of Talon's track record to tell if such things were common in his line of work, but if it were just minor pains then she certainly could be able to handle them... right?

The nurse inquired as to investigate the probable causes, an approach Telion had already gone through the motions of not long before he arrived. Semblance was a possible root cause but Talon denied the use of it, for several days in fact, which led her to believe that it had to be something else. As she thought on what it could be exactly her mind went over possibilities, from lack of nutrition to perhaps a possible concussion... though that would've healed a long time ago by now, long before Telion had even become one of Ioniri's healers. Plus he never hit his head during the ordeal that was supposed to be Rickter's trial, not to the bard's recollection any at least, so that stumped her even more as she observed and listened. No use of his other disciplines either... So the affliction wasn't magical in any way, to her knowledge, and left her to wonder if it was even physical at this point. Migraines came and went depending on the situation, but again, Talon didn't seem like the type to suffer them occasionally.

With the nurse determined to find something to alleviate the symptoms she stepped back, a moment of assurance given to the prince before she sauntered away to poke for the materials necessary. A tea perhaps. Or just some herbs that would help with the cause, whatever she'd pick out, Telion wanted to know so she'd be better able to assess a treatment herself later. If using any of her magic was going to remain problematic, then simply put she'd have to learn how to be the healer she was, from the old-fashioned methods used to mend those in pain instead. Yet as her gaze had been on the nurse Telion was not aware that Talon looked her way, her legs shifted to allow her to turn and watch the lady at work until...

"Telion? Are you alright?" The inquiry led her to shift a little warily, a hint of astonishment on her expression as she turned to face the prince once more.

"Hi Talon," she greeted softly with a warm smile fixed on her lips, "I'm fine! Just experiencing dizzy spells is all." She quickly answered to more or less shrug the attention from herself, her eyes more concerned about Talon as she finally, but carefully, shifted to stand on her feet. The blonde paced her breaths steadily when she did, enough to determine that she was rested enough to move around again, despite what the nurse might've told her if she'd turned to look toward them. Telion approached the sofa to ease herself down next to Talon, a leg tucked in so she could sit on one knee as the other rested over the cushion's edge. Now that she was closer to the prince though the bard couldn't help herself, having to satisfy the need to investigate Talon further with a wrist rested against his forehead. He was quite warm, but not exactly feverish as one would be concerned over.

"How long have you been experiencing these headaches, if I may ask? Can you tell me more about them?" She proceeded to inquire with her hands rested in her lap once more, her attention clearly fixed on Talon now that he was here. It also sort of dawned on her... that maybe she could fool Rickter into thinking it was Talon who came here instead, and she was just helping out within the infirmary wherever she could when it happened. Though she wasn't one to outright lie to him... nor to put Talon in that sort of predicament either. No she'd deal with that when the time came, for now though, her focus was on assessing Talon's affliction so that she could try to alleviate it however possible.
