Does where you are from matter?
Date
The young knight had flown into air to enjoy his time off. On this particular trial he had decided to do a little bird watching. He wasn’t one of those strange people who like to stand on the ground and try to spot the little things as the minded their own business in the trees. Just for the excitement of saying he saw one. Being a creature of the air Pahoran often saw many types of birds and had on more than one occasion enjoyed flying with them. On this day there was a purpose to his work. It was to understand how eagles and similar creatures functioned. He had the other day seen some of the Ice eagles and had renewed his interest in seeing about being able to ride one. He figured that the best thing would be to actually learn what he could. He would look for the information in books, but he also felt just seeing them interact and behave would help him.
As he flew he began to notice more and more about the birds that were in the air with him. For the first time he realized that for the smaller birds, especially the ones at the bottom of the food chain they just out and out right avoided him. Ironically their wide flight patterns have him a better chance to see them as they at a distance. Though they still worked to stay close to areas they could hide in. He then turned his attention towards those higher on the food chain. They also steered clear of him, but it seemed more of just a mater of course, they also steered clear of each other. Pah found a high perch and settled down to watch. Yes the predator birds, mostly raptors, flew high and out of sight of the little birds in the trees. They also seemed to give each other space. Pah wondered if maybe they were also fairly territorial.
The white winged youth sat on his perch unaware that he was mostly hidden from anyone on the ground below. It was actually nice to just sit here at the end of the city where things were less chaotic, and where wildlife was more open both with its glory and brutality. Pah was watching a eagle dive bomb its prey when he began to hear sounds of people approaching down below. The ice blue eyes half Hytori leaned over and looked down curious to see what was going on below.

and he’ll swim.
Throw a champion into the pit,
and he’ll climb.
Throw him off a cliff,
and he’ll grow wings.
Throw him into a furnace,
and he’ll become gold.”

龍 11th of Glade, Year 121, A.o.S 龍
Company: Himself & Mob| Thoughts: Not this again| Mood: ???
龍 With the warmth of the Glade season rolling in, Hyoga spent most of his mornings outside, training, overlooking the bustling streets below from his perch, or practicing his magic in some way to pass the time till he had a job to do or got invited to a sparring match of some sort. This morning however, was different, as something today was off to him. He was simply basking out underneath a tree near the Jeweled Arches, soaking up the warmth of the sun.
Amidst his lounging, he could hear a clamor of voices, boisterous and mobbish as it was loud enough to draw his attention. Looking out into the streets, he could see a crowd of people moving toward him, not too far from where he was sitting. Curious he stood up and waited for them to approach to see what was going on. Hyo wouldn't know but he would soon realize it would have been better to have minded his own business.
As they got closer he could hear the discontent in their voices, the anger, and outrage. What had them all in an uproar, and what did it have to do with him. The mob came within a few feet of the kathar, almost surrounding him, which didnt bode well, and made Hyo anxious. He refused to be killed this way, though he would have not wanted to fight anyone today. Looking at the crowd he could see a diversity of people, human, elf, even Avialae had gathered, the latter likely the culprits behind this mob.
"There he is, the kathar!" he heard one of them shout "You need to leave Kalzasi, we dont need your kind here! We don't want the Imperium at our doorsteps!" another shouted, a shrill in her voice. The mob was all in agreeance in the fact that Hyoga was not welcome. His fist tightening, his eyes looked to all of them, remaining silent. The only action he committed to was expanding his wings.
If he wanted to, if he truly wanted to, Hyoga could easily have escaped them, but upon stretching his wings, two of the avialae present took hold on them, pinning him down. Hyoga soon found himself being pelted by the mob, the lot of them throwing what they could find at him. Rocks, sticks, garbage all assailed his body. It was at this moment Hyoga could care less about the consequences of fighting back, especially now. The people of Kalzasi had made their choice, now he was going to make his. 龍

Does where you are from matter?
11th of Glade, Year 121, A.o.S
Pah on his perch did notice the other Avialea also taking advantage of the nice day settling down for some quiet. The ice blue eyes turned back to his study of birds as they flew. His contemplation didn’t last long before he heard more noise from below, but this time it quickly sounded ugly. Pah’s attention turned towards this crowd. From his height it was very hard to tell, but the Knight and sky guard In him wasn’t about to let a random mob cause problems.
Taking to wing he brought himself down towards the mob that was now beginning to surround another Avialea. Pah was a ware their was a difference between the two branches of the race, but personal he found physically superficial, and culturally well one really didn’t have a culture. They were slaves, and he wasn’t ever sure that was strong enough a word. Slaves still developed a culture, from what he had seen and heard the Kathar didn’t even have that. Pah resisted the urge to shudder since he was well aware now of the pain brough upon them that caused such issues.
Then he finally could understand why the mob was there. They wanted him gone because he was a Kathar. Pah’s ice blue eyes hardened as his sense of justice reared its head. There was no crime to being born and one couldn’t help where that was. The fact the man was here spoke of being liberated from the Imperium. It was possible he was a spy, but not likely he would stand out to much. Which was made clear by such actions. Pah felt his sense of injustics being amplified by his new embleam. There was a desire to charge right in sword swinging, but no, these were simple people, who had clearly been deceived, they needed to be saved from themselves as much as the Kathar needed to be saved.
He didn’t push it away though. He welcomed it in as he would need its strength and help for what he was about to do. He felt himself being reinforced as he positioned himself so that he would land between Kathar and the bulk of the crowd. Pah raised his voice and shouted. “Stand aside for the Sky Guard.” And he came into position the crowd pushed back as no one wanted an Avialea dropping on their head even as he pulled his wings in so he would drop the last little bit. He could feel himself strengthen, but he still knelt into the landing and then stood up to his full height and his eyes with their glacier blue took in the whole crowd. His Emblem was under his sleeve but something of its power seemed to dance in his eye and spoke of justice.
Pulling out his badge showing he was indeed a member of the Sky Guard he looked at the crowd before him. “Leave this man alone.” He shouted into the stunned silence before the shouting could start again. “You shame yourselves, we are known a nation of open arms. Where those who are seeking to build a new life can come.” His voice was loud so that it carried, but wasn’t angry. It was more disappointed. He turned to the two Avialea holding his wings. “Let go of your Brother. Have you not heard your history? We to fled the Imperium to be free, and now you would deny another brave soul that freedom?!” His eyes burned and he turned back. One particular belligerent man stepped forward and tried to get into Pah’s face, but had to tilt his head to actually see Pah and not just staring at his chest.
“This is none of the Sky Guards business.” He said with a sneer. Pah just looked at the man and then slowly smiled, like the cat who found the mouse.
“Wrong, by Order of the Shokaze, it is our duty to protect all of the people of this city.” He gathered his aether as he spoke. “Sometimes even from their own selves.” He then put his Aether into the man and lifted him into the tree. Pah felt sweet threaten to break out, but the man was luckily light enough that the novice mage could life him. Once the man was in the tree and had grabbed something Pah released him. “Once this is done we will have a talk.” He then looked around his expression still blank. “By Order of the Sky Guard this crowd must disperse.” Pah said his eyes flashing and his voice threatening.
“Throw a champion into the ocean,
and he’ll swim.
Throw a champion into the pit,
and he’ll climb.
Throw him off a cliff,
and he’ll grow wings.
Throw him into a furnace,
and he’ll become gold.”

龍 Hyoga was ready to make his move, but luckily for the crowd, he wouldn't have to resort to violence. Someone stepped in on his behalf, an Avialae descending from up above like some sort of savior or something. Either way, Hyo watched the man put himself between him and the mob.
He seemed to be on the Kathar's side, dissuading the people from their actions, and when common sense didnt work, he instead used his authority to disperse them. Hyo wasnt sure how persuasive this sky guard was, and the people didnt seem to want to listen to him which was only making Hyo angrier. He found that the elements responded to his emotions and he could feel the dirt beneath him tremble in response to his frustrations, a strong gust of wind blowing by as well.
Hyo knew that if things got out of hand he would have the aid of the elements to help fight them off and escape. Listening to the man he almost felt safe, almost being the keyword, but he knew that with a group as large as this stirred up, a peaceful resolution was not going to be easy to obtain. Hyo watched as the Avialae ordered for them to disperse, some hesitant to move.
It was clear that they were weighing their options, so Hyo decided to help with their choice. Pooling his aether into the ground, he locked the two avialae that had been holding him down in place by their feet, sinking them a bit into the ground in order to keep them in place. Standing he gave the crowd a glare that could kill, the clear look of disgust in his eyes as he stared them all down. Frightened many within the crowd began to disperse.
Turning to the Avialae, he patted him on the shoulder. "Thank you for the help, if you hadn't stepped in, I'm not sure those folks would have come out alive." he chuckled, walking up to the two avialae. "Who put you up to this? I don't bother anyone so I want to know who paid you to do this, and I want to know now." he questioned, his pact weapon manifesting in his hand.
Pointing Aoi Ryu at one, the fiery aura of the polearm danced and kissed at the Avialae skin. 龍

Pahoran stood looking over the crowd, his tall form stretched to its full heights and added to by his wings while not open raised were made prominent. The crowd seemed to be teetering between continuing there mob activity and departing. The knights expression was one of disappointment and disapproval as he continued to search the group meeting everyone’s eyes and even if they wouldn’t meet his eyes he would still look at them for a moment so the knew he was seeing them. It was one of the things about mobs was they lost themselves in the group. His eye contact took away some of that group camouflage. As he looked at each, his lips were turned down in a frown.
The young man was disappointed in these people, but in all truth he was also a little confused by their presences. From what he had heard it was based around some strange though that this man was a spy, but based purely on his race. The knight found that an odd thought. If they believed him to be a thief or some other criminal who was going through the neighborhood he could see. He still would stand for justice and that the man should be investigated and tried, but even then he didn’t believe in mob lynching. Everything about this just was wrong and odd.
Pah actually was worried that this behavior would inspire his brother Avialae to turn his back on such people. Soon though Pah was joined by the other man and the crowd began to disperses. Pah glanced up at the one still in the tree. He didn’t seem sure weather to come down or stay up there, so he just demanded that Pahoran let him go. The ice blue eyes just watched the man coldly and seemed to say he would deal with him later.
The other Avialae patted him on the shoulder and thanked him for his help. His ice blue eyes took in the others expression and he said. “I am glad that we have avoided any deaths. I am sorry for this. This isn’t the way they should act.” He then extended his hand. “Pahoran Rayunia is my name.”
His brother Avialae was clearly disturbed by the events and Pah noticed that he seemed to feel they were put up to it and it didn’t just happen. He kept an eye on the other as he asked his questions. Pah felt the other did deserve some answers but Pah also didn’t want to see him harm the others anymore then them harm him. He watched to see what the answer and then turned a eye to the guy in the tree and said. “I to am curious to know why you thought this was acceptable.”
