Appearance Areya stands tall and has the dark skin as many of her kind do. She has deep green eyes, dark hair that is often kept in tight braids. She has a charming smile when she remembers to put it on.
As of Glade 52, 121, Areya has a Rune of Negation burned into her chest.
Personality
Areya had always been a bit of a loner, never having more than a single friend at any given time. She was a quiet, nice girl and woman in her younger years, always helping people out when she could. However, since she was sentenced to two years in the Dead Legion, she's changed. Every choice she makes, every word from her mouth, comes as a means for her to continue surviving. Every person she meets, every task she comes up against are all tools to stay alive in a place where such a feat is rare.
History
Areya led a simple life, the daughter of a moderate shopkeeper in Kalzasi. She was her mother's only child, her father having died to illness shortly after she was born. She helped her mother in the shop often, reselling a wide variety of goods from traveling merchants. It was a small, neighborhood shop, but had a loyal customer base that lived nearby.
Areya's life went by uneventfully until one day, a man entered the shop with some of his friends. They were not locals, and their high end clothes suggested that they were some form of nobility. Areya was not well versed enough in the nobility to recognize them, and still to this day, Areya knows not who they are. But the men began to belittle the shop, insulting her mother, insulting her dead father by insulting the shop he helped to build, insulting her.
Areya went Berserk. She pounced on the man that was smaller than her, his friends standing wide eyed in shock. And she began open hand slapping him, over and over again. Eventually, his friends tried to pull her off, but with enough enraged elbows and flailing limbs, they backed off, for fear of getting hurt. She kept on slapping him, forehand and back, over and over again until her Berserker's rage subsided, leaving his face an unrecognizable mess and her hand broken in so many places.
She was pulled off and taken by the Skyguard. Judgment was quick, aided by the enraged parents of the man Areya had assaulted, and she was given a 2 years sentence to the Dead Legion, taken away without getting a chance to see or even say goodbye to her mother. And now, she spends every day just trying to survive the near impossible and get out.
