Legend of Ransera

Sheckle Alley is the nicest of the residential neighborhoods in the Knob. It borders Verowa End to the east and the neighboring district toward the west. It is kept pristine and well built, all of the homes are kept in good condition. It's actually nice enough that even humans choose to live there, among large swaths of Avialae, Grackles, and Awoken.

Due to the presence of more humans here, Sheckle Alley has a larger patrol presence by the Zaichaerian military to keep them safer. Sheckle Alley was one of the first non-human settled areas in following the Sundering. The first band of refugees were largely Synnekar. While many traveled to Kalzasi, a smaller band fought their way toward Zaichaer and settled there.

A large refugee group of Grackles from the Gelerian Imperium were also fleeing during the Sundering, hoping to find a new, safer home in the world. As they traveled, they began finding the newly born Awoken, and brought them into their traveling group. They quickly realized that many Awoken were being born like this, and set their immigration on hold to gather up as many as they could. And eventually, they made their way to Zaichaer, settling in among the Avialae in Sheckle Alley.

There is a particularly strong desire for freedom of oppression among those living in Sheckle Alley, with the Synnekar and Grackles having fled to escape that, and with the Awoken not wishing to be treated as simple machines. They care for their neighborhood, but there is certainly an undercurrent of disdain for the regular patrols and the humans living among them. Many of the residents still travel out into the world, to find more refugees and bring them back to the Knob.

All these non-humans in Zaichaer. Makes for so much plot potential. Location is approved.
