The Bulge
The Bulge is a neighborhood on the west end of the Cliffs within the Knob. It connects to the Coalway on the north side and Copper Cut on the south side. The Bulge looks over the cliffs both to the southside of the Knob and westward toward the interior of Zaichaer.
The Bulge is the oldest section of the Knob, as it was originally the infrastructure and housing that supported the now depleted copper mine. The old copper company has since been selling off the properties there. Many of the buildings are old and in need of dire repair or replacement. As such, it is viewed as a more of an up and coming neighborhood that is desperately in need of an injection of capital for it to match its neighbors of.
The Bulge is largely populated by nonhumans, and is where the more bold minded business owners go to strike it big, believing the neighborhood will become much bigger and more profitable. Many of the dilapidated buildings are used as cheap housing. Most businesses here are fairly newer, having to have purchased former housing.
