Description:These Always snowy cousins of the Clydesdale, are powerfully built creatures, their frames have nearly double that of most horses their size. Their hooves are incredibly wide and sturdy. Covered in a thick coat hiding a tough hide these horses are difficult to harm with all but the sharpest blades even without the armor they often wear.
Notable Abilities: These horses while not the fastest beasts, have the most stamina of any pack animal within their size bracket. a well fed Helmsdale can travel on only four hours of rest a day while marching making them ideal relentless warhorses. Their power is only rivaled by their appetite, any turf or short foliage in their reach falls prey to their slobbering maws to be munched with flat teeth whenever these beasts aren't marching. A small herd of these animals can strip entire fields to bare soil if left unattended.
Reproduction They breed like other horses with a similar cycle. A gestation time of around three hundred and twenty days and a monthly estrus cycle.
Size Adult Helmsdales measure 20 to 23 hands in height and weigh between 2500 to 3000 pounds
Reasons to interact They make up the Bulk of the Zaichaer military's horses and are powerful farming animals beside that.
