Description: Weston Thorpe has been in the military from the moment he was old enough to sign up. He comes from a long line of military personal, though they are all dead now. Weston served proudly, spending most of his time at the borders of Zaichaer's territory. Through his many acts of leadership and valor, he managed to earn himself a spot among the officer ranks, fending off many skirmishes and retaliating in kind. However, in one particular battle with a group of separatists, Weston had his arms blown off while capturing their leader.

After his recovery and his prosthetics were installed, Weston was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, with special commendations for heroism, and promptly given a desk. He diligently worked at his tasks, but the looks from his superiors and coworkers were nothing but pity. He asked repeatedly to be put back in the field, but was constantly refused, with that same pitying look. He continued to strengthen his body, worked hard to try and prove himself, but refused over and over and over. Eventually, he had enough and retired from the military and began spending his pension on drinking himself into a coma.

And that's how he met Franky.

Weston is friendly enough, particularly with the staff. He genuinely cares for those that work for him and Franky, but he would never say so. He rarely ever opens up about himself, and if he does, it only comes out in small bits and pieces. He is helpful, picking up a shift in any of the spots in the tavern if no one is able to make it in, and he does so without complain. He does hold high standards for himself and often holds others to them, causing some conflict. He can get particularly harsh if he feels a worker's words or actions threaten the teamwork and camaraderie of the staff, and is a firm believer of cultivating true loyalty among the staff. His free time he usually spends alone.

Description:

Evzark has been cooking his entire life. He first honed his skills within the Galerian Imperium, to the point that for a year, he served as sous chef to the Goblin King's personal chef. However, his head chef was beginning to not care for his more adventurous tastes, as they were upsetting the Goblin King's stomach. Soon after, Ezvark lost his position in the contest of the best goblin chefs in the Imperium. Still to this day, he says he was cheated, that his Head Chef just wanted him out.

After that disgrace, Evzark traveled the world, delving deep into the cuisines of many other races and cultures. He has an avid taste for anything new and always strives to find something more. He eventually made his way to Zaichaer, and he tried repeatedly to get hired on at the finest restaurants on West and East End, but was turned away many times, often violently. Feeling defeated, he went for a drink at a place some other goblins recommended, and that's how he met Franky.

Evzark is a visionary and is an incredibly demanding employer. He tends to be a whirlwind in the kitchen, leaving mess and a trail behind him whenever he is creating a new dish or menu. He is prone to aggressive outbursts, and it isn't uncommon to hear him swearing loudly about nothing in particular. He has a firm no smoking in the kitchen rule, and has enforced it with a cleaver. He has a personal system in the kitchen that makes very little sense to anyone else, at first. However, he's great at getting people acclimatized to it and once they begin utilizing it, they find him being a teacher and mentor.

Description: Glasha is an older, Orc woman with a physique that shows she'd served in a military at some point. She served in the Imperial Army and that was how she and Franky first met. She was a commander of a unit that Franky's unit was often partnered with, and both served for most of their prime, adult lives. Glasha retired before Franky and she left the Imperium to explore the world.

As Glasha traveled, she found herself exploring the world of breweries and bars. But she was not there as an alcoholic escaping their past, but rather as an aspiring connoisseur in a field, with plenty of time to dedicate to it. She worked at a number of breweries and bars to learn more on the trade and improve her skills, moving on when she found she had nothing more to learn. She eventually came to Zaichaer and her and Franky reunited once more.

Glasha has the tough mom personality, always aware of how everyone feels about one another. She does have a tendency to try and manage areas beyond her own. She does not respond well to being told to anything by anyone other than Franky, though not to the point of insubordination. She's an incredibly stubborn and headstrong person. She is kind and friendly with staff and customers and loves to share her craft and stories with anyone who takes an interest.

Description:

Meriel Quieran used to be the head Housekeeper for a rich, prominent family on the West Side. The family she worked for was especially demanding and difficult, and that translated into Meriel's adaptation to the job. Meriel became extremely detail oriented, able to keep an astounding amount of details and schedules in her head without mix up.

Meriel was also in charge of raising the children of the family, and that allowed her harsh edges to soften a bit. She has no issue with slipping into the role of teacher if one of her workers needs it, but she does expect that full attention is paid and effort is put forth. Anyone failing to do so will find themselves out the door. She takes the time to get to know the personal lives of each of her workers and shows she cares. She's never once missed a birthday, anniversary, or any other important event in someone else's life.

Meriel was fired after the matriarch of the family remarried and the new husband didn't want to have an elf in the house. She could've worked for another prominent family, but she decided to try something a little less human centric and therefore less risky. And so, she heard through the grapevine that a tavern was hiring and in need of her skills. And that's how she met Franky.

Description: Zeerd is an intense personality. He's extremely organized and logical, preferring to work in clean, orderly spaces, and have control over the space he's in. He's worked at restaurants all over Ransera, and he truly gives his job every bit of his passion. He has a lofty goal of creating the absolute perfect dish, by his own, inexplicable standards.

Zeerd is constantly delving deep into smoking, drinking, and stimulants to try and keep his mind and body going as he chases his dream. This has resulted in him having had five heart attacks in his career. This has fostered a belief in himself that he cannot die until he achieves his dream, so he presses on even harder after each subsequent attack.

Zeerd constantly finds himself at odds with Evzark, the Head Chef at the Hobbled Gobbler. They have very incompatible styles and this leads to a lot of arguing and knife waving. But when a lunch or dinner rush is upon them, they somehow manage to make it all work.

Description:

Haroth is a sociable, friendly man. He is often able to get anyone to laugh, to the point that sometimes it seems as though he doesn't really take anything seriously. He knows how much people are attracted to him and this has led to him having quite a large ego that he constantly needs to stroke or have stroked by others. He works hard to get the actual work done so he can get back to flirting and talking with the customers. He's an avid ladies' man, and he takes particular pleasure in pitting women against one another for his attention. He enjoys receiving the attention from men as well, but is notorious for luring them in only to leave them hanging and wanting.

Haroth's background is unknown to everyone but Franky and Weston, and they've agreed to keep it that way so long as Haroth works for them and works well. Haroth seems to be grateful to them for that, and as such, has never once said a bad word about either of them. Everyone else is fair game to him though. Outside of work, he finds one person to spend his time with. He's a heavy user of depressants and hallucinogens outside of work and stimulants while at work.

Description:
Gug is the product of a Moratallen woman and an Ork man, leading to his large, stout size. He's lived in Zaichaer his whole life, often taking physical labor jobs. He tends to a no-nonsense sort of attitude while at work. He's known as a bit of a control freak, but with that comes his loyalty and protections. He expects all of his servers to know their jobs and to do them to the best of their abilities. If there's any issue at all, he expects the servers to report it to him immediately. If any of his servers are touched inappropriately or sexually harassed, he gives the offender one chance to apologize before they get banned for a year. If they don't apologize properly, or they return after their ban, he is known to break their arms with his club and throw them out with a lifelong ban.

Gug does heavily believe in the spirit of teamwork, comradery, and loyalty. He expects all staff to help each other out, often with the phrase, "A high tide raises all boats." He is not especially open about his own life but does always provide an ear to listen to his workers. Anyone who backstabs or hurts another employee will often find themselves before Gug's wrath. Gug, however, has a tendency to take a lot of verbal and emotional abuse from others, just sluffing it off. He rarely, if ever, stands up for himself. Sometimes there are days where he can't take it any longer, and he disappears into the basement to "help with inventory," though some know he's just down there crying.
