Training Day [Holiday in Bekari Region]

Training Day
Within the Bekari Region, all citizens are expected to serve in the military in their youth, and that expectation never changed after the Bekari joined the Imperium. On the fifth birthday of a child, a celebration with the family is held. All members of the family are given leave to return home to celebrate this birthday with the child, for it is the beginning of the child's training. The day begins with the child's mother or father waking them, showering them in the love and affection that can only come from a parent.
The parents is then to carry the child out of the home, and be greeted by all the family members there waiting. Active military are meant to be present in their war gear, not formals. A large banquet style meal should've been prepared in advance and should be made up of the child's favorite foods. The child is to sit at the head of the table. Their parents sit next to them, followed by the rest of the family by descending order of age. No one eats until the child begins to eat, at which point traditional family conversation takes over.
Once the child has eaten, whoever is in charge of their first stage of training should present the child with a weapon, newly made, designed to fit the child. And then training immediately begins, with the family watching as the mentor and student depart.
