Ecith OOC Discussion Thread

Welcome to Ecith!
I'm posting this on March 4th, as I've opened Ecith Codex and Lore to the general public. Ecith is not yet open for play yet, but will be when I return from vacation, approximately March 21st. In the meantime, please, feel free to look through the lore and ask questions, provide feedback, etc. I will use all of this to improve the available lore and make it more clear for everyone. Additionally, feel free to make an Ecithian PC at this time.

Is this a situation where everyone knows someone who it happened to, or more of a rare event?

Common enough that everyone probably had a close relative/friend/lover disappeared.

Wait, the chieftain of every village has a Relic?
Aegis:
Yes, villages don't survive (due to Primals) without a Relic to protect them. Relics, and thus the chieftain wielding them, are filling the void in a territory once held by a Primal.
So in order to survive for longer than a season, since basically the first Relics were made, villages have been protected by a Relic
Relics, while made from Primals, are more akin to the Primal being converted to Tool form. So they still have their power, intelligence, and claim their territory, partnered with their Chieftain
