If it were to be believed, the Chisuos already had a system in place for a situation such as this. War and conflict is nothing new to any civilization and thus the family had enough, more than enough some would say, experience to know what they actually had to do over the years. Some may question the wisdom in doing it in such a way, taking the tools meant for one problem to deal with another but then, it all came down to proper management which was why Shuai had been chosen to help the family with his latest task- it was something he would have to learn at some point anyway. That said he was not too happy with this duty assigned to him. When it came to the upcoming war the man felt, it would be more important for him to train and prepare to join it himself rather than to do a job he believed any one else without the physical and martial prowess could do instead.Perhaps that was the reason why he had been chosen to do the work instead, to give him less chances to put himself in harms way when fighting with the scum from Zaichaer.
Nonetheless he was given everything he needed; identification from the family, the list of resources which needed to be checked on and allocated and, some of the family's experts to help him complete his task to the Chisuo's satisfaction. An outsider may think the reason why despite venturing into such a dangerous place, Shuai was not assigned any other bodyguards over the usual sight with him, Ruborudean, but that was because this was not Shuai's first time venturing into the dangerous down under and he was also quite confident he could handle himself. He had planned on joining the war at some point after all. That said it was not as if the Chisuos had not sent another one or two without his knowledge. Probably. For those who were unaccustomed though another question remained, what was the relationship of the war efforts and Shuai having to go into the Warrens?
A good question, which Shuai himself also asked his escorts. It was not as if he did not know the reason, he really did know, it was just that he did not appreciate the fact that it had to be him. "So we just have to go down there, take inventory, pick a few able ones and send them to help at the frontlines?" That much he understood and then pointing to his permanent fixture that was Ruborudean, "we could always send more of him, they are volunteers anyway..." sort of, the idea that he was a volunteer in any form did hazard a reaction of derision from Shuai's bodyguard which was more than enough to display his rejection to the idea but that did not change the fact "and they are more suited for the task. In fact that would make it a lot more easier since more of the thralls like him are available up top so we wouldn't have to waste time coming down here anyway." It was an excuse used plenty of times already and the retorts have been given quickly, as if already practiced over generations but that did not change the fact, at least in Shuai's head that "hell, just give the list to Ruborudean and have him lead you. I'm sure he can do the job easily and, better than me!"
