Stone walls led him down a stark hallway as the wolf marched, blades drawn as he gripped the hilts tight and continued toward the destination at the end. Rickter was so close now, so very close to the end of this damn maze, and about ready to reach his prize once he had finally turned a corner into the last corridor. It had been a nightmare trying to get through this place, guards in black armor everywhere tried to stop him when he was spotted, and fights had already ensued before the wolf had dispatched them with ease.

Yet it was the antechamber he reached that revealed what would be the final opponent of this damnable castle, a knight whose blackened armor was adorned with a dark cape with a red crest designed across it. The knight drew out two heavy-looking swords and held them each in one hand, clearly proficient with their weight as he didn't seem phased by them in the slightest. That was fine. Rickter had his own expertise with his weaponry, and would make short work of this asshole before long. Walking into the center of the chamber the wolf flourished his blades in front of him, as the knight wasted no time in charging directly toward his opponent. There was no audible voice or breath distinguishable from the knight either, just the clamor of his plated mail before he went in for the first strike.

Rickter deflected it with a mere parry of the left sword, just as his opponent's secondary weapon came around from the other side. Another block allowed the wolf to kick at the chest of his opponent, the force only enough to merely stagger the knight in question, before the wolf drew closer in for the killing slash right then and there. With a clean cut straight through his enemy the knight's bodily figure split in two from above the waistline, before his corporeal form burst into black smoke, and the armor he wore disintegrated away like dust within the air behind him. Finally. He had finished his objective, and now all that remained was to find the one trapped here. Satisfied with his excursion to cull the enemies in this place, Rickter's arms gave a brief flick around the wrists, the two bastard swords he wielded dissipating with a flash of aether as he straightened up.

Looking from where his opponent fell his eyes turned toward a large satchel at the end of the chamber, the fabric moving and stretching as though something inside beckoned for freedom. Those bastards... They intended to remove his beloved from here, before he could arrive to stop them! Well, the joke was on them, for the wolf had ensured none survived on his warpath down below here. Thus when he approached the twitching satchel Rickter reached at the lower back of his waist, pulling a knife out from the belt of his raiment so that he could cut the bonds around the sack, and release the one inside of it from their prison of fabric. How lucky he was to have arrived in such a timely manner, but if only...

A servant of the House crawled out of the bag, her hair an entangled mess and the clothes she wore dirtied from the treatment she'd endured. Nevertheless, the woman came out wide-eyed and relieved to see him, a hand locked around his forearm as the wolf's eyes grew wary of her. "Oh thank you! Thank you m' lord!!"

"Where is the prince?!" He inquired desperately if not with an underlying hint of fury, the servant's eyes widening a little more at the inquiry.

"I'm sorry, m' lord, but your prince has been taken to another castle!" She exclaimed woefully with her hands brought to her chest, the wolf quick to growl as he diverted his gaze to the nearest wall instead. Those fucking bastards! They had stalled him then, a delay tactic to ensure the wolf never reached his beloved... least not here. It was when he heard the laugh of another man that he glared, before his eyes fell upon that of Callen McCenry once more.

"The fuck are you doin' here!?" He barked as the man in the trenchcoat raised his hands passively, if not still with an amused grin on his face.

"Oh I'm sorry, I'd just thought that by now you'd realize..." He left it in the air for a moment for Rickter to try and figure it out, the wolf's eyes locked on him before he eyed the maiden he'd just rescued. The lady merely eyed him as if he were insane now, perhaps from the fact he likely talked to himself even here; in this place no less. But then it dawned on him.

"FUCK!!" He swore at the top of his lungs as he remembered, his blue eyes on Callen once more as he rested his hands at his hips bitterly. "This is a fuckin' dream innit?" The wolf nodded to himself in affirmation of what it truly was, eyeing Callen specifically as he received another few short chuckles for his behavior. "Oh fuck off!"

"I honestly thought you had it since you were doing so good!" Callen shrugged still beaming with a grin, while Rickter might've blushed a little bit in response. He did storm the castle heroically just to save an essential maid. Looking back to her now to see that she had disappeared all the more confirmed he was simply dreaming, lucidly now, and aware of the fact he was within the realm of dreams once more. "You ready, then?"

Rickter gave an exasperated sigh before folding his arms over one another, not quite yet ready to focus on what he really came here to do just yet. "Fine... Let's do this thing."

"Every side attacks you when you don't pick sides."

Within the blink of an eye they were no longer within the dungeon of the castle, but instead standing on the surface of thick layered ice that stretched on for miles. Snow trailed downward from the clouded sky as crests of waves caught mounds of the icy powder, the moisture of his breath visible with each exhale through his nostrils. Yet Rickter did not feel cold here. "Helluva change innit?" Callen remarked with a gesture to the grand view of it all, of a never-ending sea now turned into a frozen wasteland. "Wasn't sure you'd ever realize you were sleeping honestly."

"Okay, cut the bullshit Callen." Rickter weighed in plainly as he watched the Zaichaeri's grin wither away. "You wouldn't have bothered me if you found something already."

"Well, yeah. But... you sure you're ready?" The man raised an eyebrow at him without taking his hand out from his coat pockets, and Rickter decided to furrow his brow in response to the question.

"You know I want this." Now Callen was frowning a bit, if not annoyed he was definitely tired of the wolf's persistence.

"Alright, but remember... You-"

"Fuck you and your fucking bell, mate, now what is it you got for me to see?" The wolf cut him off irritably, leading Callen to raise his eyebrows before he quietly sighed through the nose. No puffs of moisture left his nostrils either, though Rickter surmised that death played a part in that for Callen.

"Just keep up with me then, aight?" Just as Rickter's brow creased into confusion he thought to check his hearing on that last part, but it seemed the ghost or whatever he was had some weird powers of his own here. As Callen's form glowed it began to dissipate into an orb of light, the shimmering core suddenly spurring forward across the frozen waves as the wolf reached out to it. Was Callen wanting him to follow? At that speed the wolf wouldn't be able to keep up on foot... unless he turned into a wolf maybe. Or. Rickter hadn't forgotten his ability to use Seeming in order to reach Zaichaer, and after all, whose to say it was impossible to apply such powers here in the dreaming world either.

"Alright..." He sourly mused to himself before starting into a walk to follow, before the wolf's feet picked up in pace when he coaxed the Flux with his aether. Within moments he pooled the currents around his lower legs, and then skipped into a continuous dash several inches off the ground. Rickter used Seeming to produce a current he could ride along toward the light, determined to catch up with Callen as he led the way like a beacon in the night. What amazed Rickter was how smooth it felt even without a lift effect, given that he could have easily hovered himself or perhaps even glided at this rate.

With Callen still at a distance bobbing around frozen crests among the surface, Rickter pondered if he could actually catch up with the entity or if he'd be tailing behind for the remainder of the trip. There's gotta be a way to go faster... He pondered as he focused on his Seeming current with Aether Sight, noticing the flow in which the channel was outputting with just the ability alone. Perhaps with a bit more put into it he could cause the flow to hasten, and in turn allow him to move at a higher speed than he could before. The wolf was hesitant at first but with a delicate application of aether to the idea, he felt the current beneath him vibrate in response to the attempt. With a restrained application continuously channeled that vibrancy expanded until he felt the air around him quicken, and the snow that pelted the skin on his face actually started to sting from the speed he gained.

Callen's light continued further on but the wolf had nearly caught up, when a structure they were approaching jutted out from among the frozen waves. Callen reverted to his original form not long before he reached the structure, while the wolf had to figure out how to manage immediate brakes on ice of all things. Generating a push with his hands he twisted around and released the Seeming current he'd generated, his toes scraping across ice as he started to slow into a gradual halt several feet past the trenchcoated man. "Havin' fun?"

"You're the one that took off..." Rickter argued as he cast his gaze away from Callen, only to realize what the structure they'd arrived at was. "What am I looking at?" As far as he could tell it was the stern of a massive ship, the captain's quarters elevated high above the ground as the other half looked sunken beneath the waves.

"Your first clue." The investigator remarked with a small grin at what he'd shown Rickter. "We go in there, and you get to find out what the trial is... I believe that's how this thing works?"

"You know for someone who's been dead for a while, you're not quite good at this."

"Hey! You gotta remember, kid, I didn't even know a damn thing about this until after I died. Anyway, you ready to go investigate?"

Rickter couldn't help but chuff at that as a small grin started to develop. "Hell yeah. Let's find out what that bastard's been hiding." He remarked as the investigator led the way toward the ship, Rickter walking alongside him with eyes curiously locked on the structure. What did this mean? How was it important to Tiberius? He could only find out by reaching the captain's quarters...
