You're Going to Love Me [Urs]

3rd of Searing, Year 122 Steel
Sivan's Cottage

The needs of his body finally prodding through the afterglow, Sivan rolled on top of Urs to give him a warm, languorous kiss, then eased his arm out from under his lover's head so he could pad away to the lavatory, the dimples above his ass all but winking at the bedridden surgeon.

The elf relieved himself, washed up a bit, and had some water. He brought the water to Urs as well, sneaking his bent knee under him and cradling the man against his chest. Once the glass was firmly in Urs' hand, he began to scrub at him with a wet washcloth. A physic liked things clean, after all, and Sivan was an obliging fellow. He realized as he groomed the man that it was exactly one season since they had first done that, and while the first time had certainly been special, it had only gotten better in his estimation. They knew each other better now, knew each other's bodies better. Sivan had grown a bit more confident, and a bit more willing to take the lead from his more experienced friend.

They were both of them still busy, what with the war effort and all. They took their time together as they could get it. So, in some ways, he still wanted to get to know Urs better, but in others, he felt like he knew him intuitively. That was likely a biproduct of baring their souls to each other and each other's Runes when they made love. It was, to him, making love and not mere sex. He didn't know that they would marry and have children, settle down and grow old together, but he knew he loved the man.

Kalzasi brought strange things to his life.

"So, I have been thinking," he said, kissing the crown of Urs' head and inhaling the scent of his hair. "If you are intent on going to Zaichaer even now... I know someone who knows someone who is going to sneak in to make some important contacts. I think I can persuade him to take you and... to take care of you." He kissed Urs' hair again. At least with Aurin Kavafis playing coyote, Urs had a much better chance of survival. "I don't want to lose you, but I don't want to stand in the way of what you need, either. But I'm not certain how soon he is leaving, nor how soon you can beg leave from the Tranquil Gardens.

"Is this... is this something you are still determined to do?"

Glade’s chorus echoed again and again and again.

Urs did nothing but think, and admire, as Sivan washed him. Love was soft blue and gold as bright as day. A season shared between them both, time lost under and over each other. He’d learned Sivan’s body as quickly as he’d learned his, and together they’d found something beautiful despite the ever-looming threat of war.

Urs stretched, baring himself full - an impish twist to his lips.

He learned to delight in Sivan’s gaze. Urs caught himself in those clever eyes, ever-wide and gentle. He teased, even spent as he was, because he wanted all of Sivan’s desire.

And, when Sivan kissed his head, he blushed, forgetting how easily his own feelings rose for Sivan.

“...it’d be dangerous,” he mused, cooling, his own thoughts free - at least briefly - from Sivan’s hold. “But I want to. I should.”

Zaichaer promised so many answers. Kalzasi, in comparison, promised little. Mother was still a mystery, one he’d been unable to solve. He had family, potentially, among the Grymalka. Necromancers and crypt-guardians. There was still so much he had to learn. He’d wait, he supposed, if there wasn’t a war.

He moved up, along Sivan’s lap - and hugged the elf tightly.

“I don’t want to leave you,” he whispered, his words trembling with something like fear. It’d been so long since he’d felt so happy. Since he’d felt like home. “...but if there’s a chance of finding my family, whoever they are - I think I need to go. Try to find them.”

He wasn’t afraid of dying. War, he thought, was hardly satisfied in one place. Kalzasi had already been attacked once - and he worried it might happen again. Sivan was a capable magician, but steel killed all men easily.

Sivan carefully folded the washcloth and set it aside to pick up later. The spirits helped him keep things tidy, but he had become even more tidy since things developed with Urs. The man, a physic, claimed cleanliness helped prevent illness, and Sivan didn't enjoy falling ill. He rather enjoyed an excuse to touch Urs' body, not that he needed one now, and caring for him. It was easier to show than to tell him his feelings.

He let Urs climb into his lap and embraced him wholly.

"I figured as much," he said against Urs' temple. "I would go with you, but my ears would only make it more difficult for you to blend in. Torin's man is clever as a fox. I'll find out when he's going and pull whatever favors I have to in order to get you under his protection." He considered. "I might send Exael to watch over you, as well. He likes to be invisible most of the time anyway, and wouldn't have to manifest unless you needed him."

His fingertips played down the nubs of Urs' vertabrae like the keys of an instrument. While the other man might have been able to tell if they were out of alignment, Sivan could only count them as parts of the man who had made Glade so happy whenever their schedules allowed.

"I want you to find your family and the answers you seek. I'll be waiting here when you return. Perhaps... well, perhaps before you leave or perhaps when you return, Destyn wanted to have a picnic. You can meet our friend Torin, perhaps some others, as well. If you want. Torin knows about us, but I would like to introduce you as..." He paused. They hadn't truly defined their relationship; it just existed. But if they were going to live it publicly, people would want a label for it. "...as my lover? As my friend?"

The elf pulled back enough to search Urs' eyes for his preference. It mattered little to Sivan, but he knew it might matter to Urs.

Urs sat there, on Sivan’s lap, wrapped up in the elf’s arms. He’d never considered himself particularly small; he wasn’t especially, not for a human. And yet, Sivan had a way of holding him that reminded him how much larger - and stronger - the elf was.

“I am not so helpless,” Urs said, smiling into Sivan’s chest, “I am still a witch. Torin’s man may be clever but I have skills enough I think I would be more boon than bane to his mission.”

He pushed - slightly - against Sivan’s instinct to protect. It was his instinct to challenge, even here, when he was so willingly kept warm by Sivan’s body.

He wouldn’t let Sivan spend his money or favors, not when he was capable of proving his own value to the supposed fox. His skill in Semblance was unmatched; there was hardly anything that escaped his notice, these days. As a surgeon, he was capable - and valuable. “Even more so, if you can persuade Exael to accompany me. A Celestial is no small form of aid, Sivan.”

“Can I not be your lover and your friend?” Urs asked, a wicked grin growing along his lips. “Are you so determined to label things as this or that and never both - or more?”

He was teasing, clearly, as he rocked into Sivan, trying to knock the elf - and himself - back onto the bed.

“I would like to meet your friends, Sivan,” he said, his brown eyes searching the blue of Sivan’s, his magic spilling out into his lover’s aura. Urs needled through, tested against the edges, lapping up whatever information he could divine.

He felt so light and happy. Everything was pink and daybreak, beginnings that promised never-ending. Urs sat there, straddling Sivan, and he felt impossibilities. This, he thought, was love.

"I know... I know you're not helpless."

His head hung sheepishly; he wasn't expressing himself correctly, offending where he meant to support. The elf wasn't trying to persuade Urs not to walk into danger, merely attempting to equip him with every tool to come back safely.

"Then Exael will go. He will watch and he will know when you need his aid." And, at this point, Exael's bond had made the Celestial powerful enough to call his brethren through the veil for short periods of time, so Urs could have a small host of Celestials to protect him at need. Exael didn't feel things the same as an elf did, but it understood the importance of Urs and Sivan's friends to him.

"You can... You are both. And more. I just want to do this correctly, to introduce you in a way that does not make you feel... wrong."

But he laughed when Urs' resistance turned playful, and he took Urs' force, then rocked back, pinning him to the rumpled bedding beneath. He kissed him, tongue slipping between his teeth to taste his mouth. Lambent eyes gazed down at Urs, bright with unshed tears.

"You just can't ask me not to worry while you're gone... And if... if you decide to stay there... You have to... Please send word how I can find you. All right?"

Suddenly, he felt the urge to fuck Urs, to press every button he had found, expend every ounce of energy making toes curl and shudders run through him. He wanted to claim him so decisively that of course Urs couldn't help but come back. It was uncharacteristic of him; he wasn't the jealous type. He would ponder the urge later. Most likely he hadn't had anything like this before and suddenly he had something to lose.

“I wouldn’t stay,” he whispered, “Not if you weren’t there.”

And he felt it, that yet unsaid feeling, sprite and alive and reaching out, always, towards Sivan. Love. It bubbled, pink and lovely, in the space between them, like air on his tongue.

“Call me anything, Sivan Sunrunner.”

He laughed, pinned down as he was, exposed completely - and at the complete mercy of his lover. Sivan weighed onto him, holding him in place, and Urs did nothing to free himself. Here, where it was just them two, there was no place he’d rather be. He sometimes imagined his life here, with Sivan. The cottage filled with warmth and magic. Their lives, intertwined, forever.

And here, under the man who had his heart, he’d spend his life.

“I don’t think I can be wrong, not with you.”

The red that caught along the edges of his aura caught Urs’ attention. He smiled, dangerously, his lips curved sharp. His eyes caught Sivan’s, and then trailed down - slow. He delighted in the view, and his thrill caught like wildfire through his being. A pink blush turned along his skin, roses blooming.

He felt a catch inside his throat - his heart, he thought for a moment, before the words came rushing out.

“I love you, Sivan.”

He swallowed, the look in his eyes hungry.

“And I want you now.”

Sivan flushed.

Neither of them were mesmers; they couldn't read each other's thoughts and emotions, not directly. But they had grown skilled at interpreting each other's aura, and while he didn't want to hide his thoughts and feelings from Urs, it could be embarrassing at times. But it worked both ways, and he could see how the ripple of darkness lit a fire in Urs as well. It reminded him that they hadn't spent all that much time together since taking their relationship down a physical route.

Then the man pulsed pink and declared his love.

Then the man pulsed red and declared his lust.

Sivan's insides tumbled. His heart fluttered and his elfhood came to attention. Surely he didn't have enough blood for all these feelings and emotions. He wanted to kiss Urs tenderly, or fuck him roughly. This was new. He darted in, taking Urs lower lip between his teeth. The elf didn't bite down, but there was a hunger rising in him, something more feral than before. It felt almost like the uncontrollable rage of his people, but not quite. It scared him a little, but it only seemed to excite Urs and so he didn't try to bottle it up, didn't try to calm his mind with meditative practice.

He kissed him, more claiming than exploring what he already knew. His fingers twined in Urs' hair.

"I'm going to make you need to come back to me," he almost growled, rather surprising himself.
