That Which Howls In the Night [Open]

Searing 48th, 122nd Year, A.o.S.
The lovely blue scarf webbed and dangled between delicate fingers shone a pretty blue in the light. As a blonde lady seated within the inn lobby stared at it longingly, she hed it closer to herself as she clearly thought of someone very close. Telion was dressed in a casual dress the color of robin's egg, her arms exposed to allow her skin to breathe the warm air. She had forgotten just how warmth the south could truly get, but then, she had also never dared to ever venture this far south. Their arrival here since that night has been a wake-up call ever since, seeing just how far advanced Gel'Grandal had been with their technology. It was all so much to take in, while her heart clearly remained encumbered by the weight of her past.
"We'll find her. Sooner or later." A warm voice tried to soothe her as a travel-garbed man sat across from her, his elbows on his knees as he leaned forward off the cushion. Patrick's eyes watched as Telion loosely smiled before looking outside the window of the lobby, while Patrick's gaze lingered on her before he gradually observed the lobby itself. He should've expected her silence honestly, it had been this way for the past seven or eight days now.
When she'd learned of Rickter's probable demise within Zaichaer, and they had all been able to see the residual Rift looming over it. Now it felt like they were all on a dangerously suicidal mission, Telion personally there to save what few friends she had left, while the agents of the Dawnguard fixed on bringing back Talon. At first, it had just been the painful crack in her voice, but after a whole week, the healer hardly had it in her to even attempt speaking again. Patrick truly felt for the poor woman, almost more than sympathetically, now that he had to watch her grieve her losses. But if he could help it, he would see that they found Hannah soon. They wouldn't leave without the Godmother of Rickter's twins.
Not that Telion had any idea where to look for her here, and it had already been five days since they no longer had contact. She'd been checking the Journey Book at every hour each day, only to find that not a single response had been written back to her. Now Telion was beginning to fear the worst, and slowly creeping in with that fear despair of the inevitable. Would she really lose her best friend just as easily as her lover? Telion's eyes were upon the moons until she heard it, a distinct sound that filled the night with an obnoxiously drawn-out cry toward the stars. It was that sound! "Rickter..." She muttered softly with an instant rise to her feet, the sudden spark of energy in her enough to surprise Patrick when he focused on her again. "Rickter!"
"Telion, wait!" The Barnell called after her as she quickly moved to rush for the door, pushing the glass construct open so that the moment she stepped outside, the healer stood eagerly in the middle of the white slabbed concrete next to the street. Her eyes went up to the skies above as she searched eagerly among the tops of the building, hopeful that what she hadn't heard was just a flicker of imagination.
And then it carried out into the night once more.
A deep and somber howl filled the air throughout the neighborhoods and streets nearby, people out in the streets already looking about in wonder towards the south where the massive wound in the earth resided. Telion's eyes filled with hope then as Patrick caught up to her, alarmed by the sudden cry of a lonely wolf in the night. But for Telion it meant the world to hear his call, to finally be close enough to hear him from a distance, and to put her fingers close together at the front of her lips. From outside the inn where they were located, the healer whistled as loudly as she could, hoping her signal would in fact reach his ears.

It was dark out as the nightlife seemed lit by poles of magitech lights, the clouds in the sky scattered enough to only partially hide away the moons. Already they had phased into their third quarter of the month, as crescents shone down across the entirety of the Northside District.
