The Crystal Tree
On the night of the 24th of Sun's Zenith, an unusual phenomenon occurred deep within the northern peaks of the Astralar, sounds from the event were even heard in Kalzasi at the birth of its wake. What started as a large pop within the peaks led to the echoes of broken glass, before a northward breeze came blowing across the city from the mountain above.
At the center of where this event took place resides a lonely tree, made purely of crystalline ice that towers sixty feet above the peaks. On nights when the moon is full an aurora appears to swirl around the tree, dancing in hues of blue, purple, and even teal at the tree's crown. It's already believed that the icy structure was born from the deepest wishes of a mage, and still harbors the will of its creator even to this day.
There are some in the city who consider the Crystal Tree an omen, both varying between good and bad, and there are some who simply see it as an enlightened folly of the wizard who made it. Regardless, between the varying opinions there has been word gradually on the rise, murmurs from those that have visited the tree which describe it's beauty as hopeful and inspiring. There are even the few who speculate that Crystal Tree is the sign of a return, and that the North Wind now walks the peaks of Astralar once more.
