Description: The Optic Squid is a genetically engineered cephalopod that has been specifically designed to enhance the vision of soldiers. They have large, powerful ocular organs that allow them to see in both the visible and infrared spectrum. The squid's skin is also able to adapt to different light levels, making it easier for soldiers to operate in varying environments. In addition to vision enhancement, the Optic Squid can also act as an organic gas mask and filter polluted water to sustain the soldier wearing it.
Biome Role: The Optic Squid is not found in the wild, but instead attached to a helmet and worn over the head and face of a soldier as an augmentative device.
